I'm looking for a story where Harry accidentally becomes the Master of Death whilst with Dumbledore on the Horcrux hunt. From what I remember, Dumbledore grabs the ring and gets injured, but Harry destroys the Horcrux, then gets advice from his parents and Sirius using the ring on how to heal Dumbledore. During this, he disarms Dumbledore who in his delirium was casting something stupid, thereby becoming Master of Death accidentally, which the ghosts of his parents are shocked by, but Harry doesn't know why.

I think this was all in the most recent chapter of the story, which was updated fairly recently.

If anyone can point me in the direction of this story, I'd be very grateful!

Yeah, that's the fic where Harry stays at Hogwarts for Christmas, with Snape as the only professor who did (I think) and Snape notices he's hiding abuse with glamours, and Snape ends up becoming his confidant as well as care-giver. Later, he enters into an apprentice bond with both Lupin and 'Severus.' Oh, and 'magic' recognizes the bond between Snape and Harry as closer to father-son.. and every gesture or smile of Harry's is from then on referred to as shy, timid, or some similar way of saying he's becoming a 9 year old girl.

And while the writing is pretty solid, you definitely picked the best part of the plot to mention here. Title is 'Perception is Everything' by Kendra James.
