Basically, I have gotten to the point where I need to start keeping a better track of my money. I know next to nothing about keeping books or anything like that.

I am looking for a simple, cheap* program that is trustworthy and is easy to understand and use. I need it to keep track of my bank account and possibly my credit cards (don't have 'em yet, probably won't ever).

    So... Anyone have any ideas?

... Microsoft Excel? I know KSpreadsheet (or whatever it's called) is a good Excel clone that comes with KDE Linux. You can use different sheets for different cards, or all in one, and make it auto-add up expenses/income. The help files are decent if you want to learn how to do it.

Xiph is right. In our Buisness Economy class we mainly stick to excel, it's usually pretty reliable and once you check out a few tutorials on the net, everything is easy.

Other than that, I think there's one called Axapta though I don't know much about it. Could be worth looking into though.

IF you want bloated shitware, you can try Open Office, as well.
