    Well, it could also be that the AK is only effective on animate objects, becasue they have the sould to be destroyed, which the inanimate objects wouldn't have.

    My view on this is as follows: The Killing Curse is unblockable if you use a magical shield, like Protego to try and block it. If you use a solid object, it will block it. And the curse can have varying strengths, I think. Wormtails [/i]Avada Kedavra[/i] just killed Cedric, and he crumpled to the floor. Snape's AK threw Dumbledore off the tower. And...um, I'm pretty sure if you threw a piece of cloth in the way of the Killing Curse, it would pass right through it and hit you. The object has to be strong enough so that the curse won't pass right through.

    I have a theory about Snapes Ak before it hit him Dumbledore prob knew it was going to happen so he did a little lean over allowing the spell to look like it hit him but he really leaned off the tower and over.

    Then he used the spell he used on harry to slow his fall in PoA on himself and waited until his funeral to have Fawkes or he transformed to a phoenix(ewww cliche) and then fire flashed away.
