    Snape = Vader???

    Right I can imagine the scene.

    Vader (Snape... Snader?): Luke (Harry) I'm your father...

    Harry..erm Luke: NOOOOOOOOO!!

    Back to the topic. I don't see Dumbledore as Caesar. Caesar was a conquror and a general. He was ruthless to his enemies and carved out a nation for Rome. Dumbledore is not such thing. He is more benign.

    Caesar was killed because the Roman Senate, some of them at least, feared that he would become an Emperor. Dumbledore was killed because he kept Voldie from becoming one.

    On the other side of the coin, Caesar refused to take up the title despite the populace wanting him to. Dumbledore refused to become minister of magic. And wasn't the "Fudge administration" (*snorts*) afraid of Dumbledore's power and thought he was a threat to his office? Didn't he try to undermine Dumbledore's power because of that threat? Then there's the whole "trusted friend" killing him, thing.

    How do we know Dumbledore wasn't ruthless to his enemies back in the day? (I'm not really arguing with your point, I actually agree, but I'm bringing up some random points to counter it. I'm bored, lol)

    LOL. Hail to Boredom then.

    I have to conceed the point about Dumbledore's earlier days. We don't know if he was ruthless then. Maybe maybe not. We just don't know. So there may be some paralles between them. They were both patriots who worked for the people (even if it mean killing a bunch of others). They were both admired and respected, as well as feared. But were they the same... You need some pretty hefty arguments to convince me of that.

    Fudge on the other hand is an idiot... or would that be insulting idiots? In any case Fudges fear was similar to the Roman Senate. Only the Senate decided to kill Caeser, where as Fudge just started to drag his name throught the mud.

    Besides Voldie had Dumbledore killed not Fudge... unless he was a Death Eater.
