...I was thinking about reading this but isn't it Harry-centric?

No, it mostly focuses on his son. There are a few scenes with Harry, but I don't think it can be called Harry-centric...

I imagine in future chapters we'll see more of Harry.

Yeah I think it'll end up being a Harry and Albus centric story, with scenes switching back and forth between them.

I'm not sure I can read a story that focus' on Albus Severus, of all people. Tom Riddle, yes. Albus Dumbledore, sure. Even someone like Regulus Black, no problem.

    But Albus Severus...

Even if it is written brilliantly, it'd be a stretch. But I will try when I can be bothered, since so many people here are giving it decent reviews.

Ha, I feel kind of out of place posting on a board about my own story, but here I go anyway...

Thanks to all the people who gave the story a decent review here, I hope you're enjoying it, plenty more to come.

Just to answer a query - yes, this story will revolve around Harry and Albus Potter, with the emphasis slowly sliding towards it being more (mostly) Harry-centric. I wanted to write more about Albus, but he's just not got enough going on at the moment. Harry's the star, always has been, and I can write a better story about him.

Thanks again to all the folks here at DLP, and also thanks to the awesome stuff and staff going on at Patronuscharm - cool place to post a story.

    All the best,

    Concerning Shadowman's identity:
I've got a nasty suspicion that recruit Crichton is a Shadowman:
    1. Shadowman is a young man with a superior intellect as was said earlear - Crichton is a young man just out of Hogwarts who solved Rubic's Cube in 40 seconds - damned impressive.
    2. He has access to the Ministry, meaning that he could weasel information about Azkaban's defences using Legilimency, or something and stage an attack on Harry.
    3. He knocked fully trained Auror over the cliff and then saved him - sign's of a superior skill and an agressive reaction.
    4. In these kinds of mystery story author is unlikely to make a villain a random guy at the end - he would "introduce" him first to a reader innocently.

    5. I don't trust bloody Mathematicians and their relatives - but I suppose this is personal :-/

Maybe I'm mistaken, but we shall see.

Updated! First half of the chapter is just aftermath, damage control, ministry meeting, but second half is where the good stuff's at. Albus the seer? I thought, originally, that he was seeing things through his father's eyes - or scar - and that's why he was snatched from his bed, but looks like that's no longer the case.
I assume Long Ago will play an important role later on, if the title All My Love to Long Ago is anything to go by.

Maybe the spherical whatever-it-is burning with power has become the foundation of Hogwarts castle, with its' ambient magic - or maybe Albus Severus will find it in the present, under the castle or in the forest?

At any rate, I'm pleased with this update but it leaves me wanting more.

Chapter 9: I have to say that this chapter fell short of my expectations.

Harry being a master auror doesn't check a location first? His drugged fight didn't seem believable in the least.

Also, the bit with Albus Severus hiding his vision of Harry seems a bit forced, although I understand you're trying to build suspence, but it felt contrived.

I also feel as though you're probably going to have work very hard to keep Hogwarts as interesting as the outside. Frankly, the stakes are significantly lower in there, especially when compared to what Harry's up to. Albus Severus doing typical kid stuff just makes the fic sometimes drag a bit.

Chapter 10: We it feels like you are slowly drawing out this thing with "What's going on with Albus?" for too much. It feels more like a sub-plot than you are making it. You need something else to be happening at Hogwarts is my most pointed critique. Complicate the situation more. Make a more if half the time is spent with Albus Severus, than he needs a more immediate threat.

I'm quite fond of this story so far. Which is odd, considering that I am not very fond of the epilogue part of DH. I eagerly await the new chapter.
