Ahh ok. John's 'alleged' pussiness in it doesn't bother me, seeing how the author makes up for it with Cameron's characterization. (which I think is awesome)

 

Thing is, in the show, toward the end, John is show to actually not be that emo. He actually turns out to be very cold and calculating. Well, maybe not cold, but at least on the path. Also, any story that portrays Derek as pussy whipped is dead off. The 'Last Voyage...' episode showed that much.

Also, this story reeks of win and awesome. Characterization is very well done, though when Big D was actually writing it, which was while the show was still on, it was great fun to watch the parallels between the two and Big D go "Goddammit!"

As for the story, despite the fact that it's being written at my usual glacial pace, I honestly do expect it to get finished. This fic was never meant to tell the entire Terminator story, if only because I believe that not knowing exactly how it all ends is much more interesting.

Nintendo should go about ten chapters, but the chapters are shaping up to be monsters, so it'll still be pretty long when it's done. I have vague plans about making it a trilogy, with Nintendo being the first book. The second is about John in the future, which was something I had planned to do before it happened on the show, and the third would take us up to Judgment Day.
