    1. These things come from visual novels that were later adapted into cartoons.

    2. As you clearly had an "Oh shit" moment over, yes, Marble Phantasms are real. There is nothing canonically prohibiting their use as someone's noble phantasm. Not arguing their use in this story. Just don't act like an authority on something you're clearly not even remotely knowledgeable of.

    3. Nearly everything created by the person who created F/SN is apart of the same universe. Shirou uses a reality marble, which is basically the perverted version of being actually capable of a marble phantasm.

@Frantic Author: pretty much all of your criticisms are wrong. Not to say that Fate Ingens Cor is a good story - but your rage is horribly misplaced.

Canon: Harry Potter is not a prodigy; that's his charm. He gets by through luck and with help from his friends etc. The thing that makes him rise above his peers is his determination and compassion. Not his magic.

On the other hand, Rin is a prodigy. Shirou (the main character of Fate/Stay Night, since you seem to have forgotten his name) is something of a savant of certain magics as well.

You also seem to have much anger for Shirou. Anger leads to hate, hate leads to suffering, you know. Regardless, Shirou is not

that you think he is. He doesn't want women to fight for him - neither does any man I've ever met. I'm also not sure how he is "bigot" - and I won't argue that he isn't delusional.

    *cough* Lockhart.

WRONG. Marble Phantasms and Noble Phantasms both exist in the same goddamn universe, namely, the Nasuverse. Arturia is alive presumably because the author decided to go with the good UBW ending for F/SN.

It is therefore you who are the "ignorant cockwhoring fuck" for reading a crossover wherein you have, at best, little to no knowledge of the crossed universe. A universe in which you decided you hate and

and then criticized the story for things which are not the author's fault, but rather the fault of your own ignorance, instead of writing a valid review.

So sit down, get a beer, and think twice next time before spewing your retarded-ass piss over DLP.

He is talking about a fic posted in "Almost Recommendable Round three" some ages ago:

    https://forums.darklordpotter.net/showthread.php?p=454389&highlight=6907242#post454389

So it is ok to leave a review in here. Nevertheless I really hope his next posts are about something he actually knows. It's a bit tiresome to decipher a post of someone who is not knowing what he is talking about.

I think that I lost my train of thought in my last post, and just filled it with stupid shit that I didn't bother to check, and it was pretty retarded crap anyways. I should at least google the bullshit I throw into my posts.

And now I'm going to pretend it never happened, and almost recommend something.

It's... decent, I suppose. The author(s?) has/have a good grasp of grammar, and it seems like a fairly well thought out story, but it doesn't feel alive. The dialogue feels bland, and when I read it it felt like a blatant canon rehash, forgetting his/their OC (Cosette, Harry's sister), was even there, and just restating canon in it's entirety. The parts that were good were the alternative lines, but it's really just a playback of canon.

When I mentioned it to the author, they just... ugh. Here's the response and review.

Despite speaking about the character, they ignored the part where I had to reread canon in different words.

Seriously. It has to be seen to be believed. At some points I was wondering "Whatever happened to Cosette? Is she even there?"

So it's basically a redone with Harry having a Slytherin twin called Cosette which by your own words doesn't actually change a thing and it's mostly canon restated.
No style, cliched ideas and an OC I just know I'm going to hate. Is there anything to enjoy in this story?

    And Cosette? :wall:

I can't help but wonder and since I'm not touching this fic in a hurry I probably won't get the answers unless you tell me, but is Harry's twin really angsty, like MarySue-ish angsty? I'm quite sure she won't have any special powers since the author will keep her at Harry's level but I want to know just how bad this story really is.

No, she's basically Victim!Harry. Except not really, because she has like twenty, maybe thirty lines of dialogue.

The fun part is that the good parts of the story are the parts that aren't canon rehashes!
These are the rarest parts. That is the joke.

    I didn't mention Cosette's name because well

I actually like Les Miserables. It's one of my favorite books, and I refuse to associate something so... eh.

And now for something much better.

It's a short crossover between the Book Thief and Harry Potter, but it really hits the tone of the Book Thief properly. I liked it a lot.

The writing is decent, made it to Chapter 3 before stopping. Nothing grand or epic, but it is readable. Unfortunately, it is a re-write. And also, I'm getting some serious Mary-Sue vibes from Cosette.

It's not handled all that well from what I read. They did take some effort to actually make her work to some degree, but really it's either bordering cliche or Mary-Sue, and neither works for me really.

    @Frantic Writer.

    Title: Magic
    Author: Allison Olivia
    Pairing: Harry/OC (Lisa)
Rating: M (Though I haven't seen anything to justify this rating yet)
    Link: http://www.fanfiction.net/s/7140777/1/

    Story Summary:

Harry Potter is now twenty-five and has moved to a Muggle neighborhood. He develops a relationship with his neighbor, Lisa, and the closer they grow, the more difficult it becomes for Harry to hide the sordid details of his magical lifestyle.

I think its an above average fic, especially within the Harry/Muggle OC genre. Its told from Lisa's point of view which I quite enjoy. The story has its funny moments. The story isn't anything special but it beats 95% of the mind numbing garbage fics. Also the grammar/spelling is good and the author is committed to actually improving (currently fixing her excessive use of adverbs after dialogue). I think the story is worth checking out.

This. I read the entire chapter before I realized it was the 7th. And the only thing that struck me as odd was the conversation at the end. Kinda makes me wonder how necessary the first 6 chapters were.

Anyway, I quite like the writing style. But there doesn't seem to be any real plot, just the progression of their relationship. I doubt I'll read the next chapter whenever it's posted.

... wat. How the fuck do you guys read?

I start at the top of the page, with the url (that has a 7 in it). Then I look at the chapter dropdown box, which says Chapter Seven. Then I read the line with the story attributes, review count and stuff, and then I start with body. I read the AN, and only then comes the actual story (or it would, in any case, if I hadn't closed the window because the author was whinging about mean reviews). But by that time, I've been aware of the fact that it's not the first chapter at least three times. I don't think I've ever mistakenly read a seventh chapter.

Am I the only one that actually reads the entire page they open? o_O

Edit: Lol, that much for that. Weird. Although it now starts to make sense why people would miss story related stuff I put before a chapter :/

I skip the url and the chapter dropdown box, but otherwise what you said Sesc. The AN (some stuff about a chapter 6 and that whining about reviews) made me suspicious enough to double-check with the chapter dropdown box, and confirm that I in fact wasn't looking at the first chapter.

This is why you Aryans make such good cars - the meticulous (read: anal-retentive) attention to detail. Let's just keep that obsessiveness to cars though, shall we? And stay far from those war machine blueprints, yeah?

I was just having a look at this story and it's disappeared. The author has taken down all her stories and disabled PMs.

    Genre: Supernatural/Adventure
    Pairing: Harry/Ginny(BEWARE)

I haven't seen it in the thread so far, it has a somewhat unique premise. Basically, instead of raising Harry, Vernon decides to mail Harry to China(or Japan idr). Being the un-lucky charm that he is, Harry's plane crashes. Skip ahead a few years, Dumbledore discovers what has happened and sends the Order on a hunt around they world that wouldn't look out of place on 'Carmen Sandiego.' Approximately 5 years after the start of the search, Sirius and Remus find Harry and drag him back 'home.'

Has a few cliche's (super animagus Harry, trained by merlin:wall:), story was set up to be interesting and fell-apart halfway through.

Not the worst story in the world, but it is definitely a guilty-pleasure read.

    I give it a 2/5
