I didn't miss his Point I just didn't restate it because for the most part I agree with I was just stating that some of the parts that are different from the books were taking directly from the movies.

Relationship side of the story is pretty slow, but understandable given the circumstances/direction.

I'd of thought that Harry would be more pissed off at the Weasleys, though - he was blocked from going to Ginny's funeral.

Since I have no intention of reading this, anyone want to tell me *why* the Weasleys wouldn't want Harry there? Seems pointlessly and stupidly contrived.

It was something about the funeral being a private one for Fred and Ginny, and Harry not being family.

In other words, a complete and utter shite plot-device.

Not necessarily. It's nothing unusual to have certain burial customs for cults, clans, religious groups and so on. It's not far fetched that the Weasleys' in this story might have one too. Though there doesn't seem to be a real effect on the story's plot besides adding some emotional drama.

At least we don't have to suffer through several tear jerking funeral scenes and from that perspective it was a pretty smart plot device. It also gave us a nice scene between Harry and Luna observing the funerals from a distance.

Sounds cool, I read Fowl through Time Paradox, never read Atalantis as I'd heard he somehow yet again acts inhuman and the whole point of 5 and 6 was cementing him as one of the good guys.

The plots were sometimes too contrived, but I always liked the stories and characters.

I just finished this one and enjoyed the lulz. It needs a couple more chapters before it can be up for recommendation to the library. In particular, I thought QuidditchSlut!Hermione was a interesting character twist.

    Harry Potter, Magnificent Bastard
    by JK Pratchett
    Rated: M
    WIP (c. 50000 words, 14 chapters)
Pairing: Harry / Many (Not integral to the story really, other than to show that Harry will tap anything with a vagina, it seems...except Hermione)
An aged Harry reveals the scandalous truth about his youthful exploits. Read how a lying, womanising coward became the hero of the magical world. Rated M for language and sexual content.

Meh. It was funny for about two chapters then it just became dull and grating.

I don't know if it's been mentioned in Almost Recommendable before, but it has been mentioned in story search.

I can appreciate the good writing and humour, but it's hard to get through more than a couple of chapters when the main character is so unlikeable.

I recall stumbling upon this a while ago, and while the concept is good, you kinda want to see some skill out of a protagonist, and when he's reduced to having Hermione do his homework for him...

Deprived updated, and it was painful, very painful to read. Out of nowhere, the author suddenly pulls out bondmates!Veelas, sexual-but-chaste-creatures!Veelas, logical!IcePrincess!Daphne, and I don't know what else.

I might have rated it a 2.5, 3 beforehand, but that rating is dropping rapidly.
