This is pretty good. It was an enjoyable read for just the 3 chapters that are posted. I could frankly see it being 4/5 quality if it improves in some small areas. To tell the truth, I found it more enjoyable than Calz's Mentor!Flitwick fic. >_>

And the changes the author has made to History of magic and the dueling system are kinda refreshingly new.

I'll give it a definite 3/5 now hoping it actually improves to 4/5.

I like this one, bit early at the moment but its a Mercenary!Harry story.

 

Lol, author went overboard in trying to make Harry seem the cool, impassive, disinterested type. No good.

 

Was thinking about rec'ing that earlier today.

Something about that story just appeals to me.

 

I agree with Andromalius in that the author went overboard in some respects, but I'm willing to wait and see how this evolves before letting it go. Depending on how the next few chapters play out, this could end up becoming fairly good.

 

Deprived was updated a few days back - still a set up for a big confrontation, nothing major.

Am strangely looking forward to seeing Harry/Hate stomping those people 'to the curb'.

Also, hope there's some 'Templar'/Valkyrie action sometime later in the story, because I'm just a perv' like that.

 

Agreed. I will be very disappointed if Harry gets over it and forgives them instead, which really happens far too often.

 

I think he might be talking about the Mercenaries rather than the Family.

Harry Potter is tasked with saving Draco Malfoy from the Dementor's kiss when Draco is framed for murder.

This is an engaging and well written Post-Hogwarts story. Unfortunately Harry is too emotional and the ending is disapointing.

A surprisingly decent Year One rehash, with a good amount of new content mixed in. This fairly serious story is a far cry from BaJaB's crack-fic Hufflepuff!Harry. Pointless bashing and many related cliches are absent, though this Harry is generally more competent than the canon version. It doesn't break any new ground, but I think it was a success for what it intended to do.
