The problem is that this is one of the few times where you have to make up massive reasons for it to not happen. Armmaster has a lie detector, Sophia isn't looked upon kindly, and there is no reason for some random person to just call out a Ward. It is generic, but it is one of those things I can't see an alternative that works.

 

Eh, not really. IIRC, it was canon that Sophia wouldn't have been punished even if they did know about the bullying because her power was too useful. That might change post-leviathan when they realize her powers don't work on Endbringers, but I doubt they would choose Taylor over her until then. Unless Sophia used her power on Taylor or shot her with her crossbow.

What I don't like is the idea that the Wards or the PRT would dismiss her claims because she is the "FNG". Sophia was a probationary member who was known for excessive violence and sadism. She was also actively disliked by her teammates and Director Piggot. That they wouldn't even bother looking into it at all is retarded and- like Smile said- if they looked into it they would know Taylor was telling the truth.

Though in either scenario, one where Sophia is let off scot-free or one where they immediately dismiss Taylor's claims, there is no way Taylor would accept the situation and she would leave. Which is why most stories have Taylor become a solo hero.

 

Word of God:

 

One way to do it could be Taylor just doesn't tell them. I mean, she doesn't have a lot of faith in authority (eg, her conversation with Mr Gladly towards the start). Either that, or she lets some truths out (Sophie gave her a hard time at school), but doesn't really go into depth about how bad the abuse was.

Chances are the people in charge wouldn't really be interested in probing any further, since it'd mean potentially losing one of their powerful assets. Turn a blind eye to maintain the status quo, waiting for Taylor to really make it a big, official issue before doing anything.

She would probably spend some time with the Wards before finding out who Sophie is - enough time to establish some connection to that position so she doesn't just quit.

Interested to see how Tyrant does it. Since it seems like Skitter and Stalker have developed a genuine bond with each other. It's gonna be really interesting seeing their interactions once they learn who each other's identities are.

This. I loss a lot of interest in the story once Taylor joined the Wards. Those chapters were boring as hell and I hated the way the Undersiders were ditched all at once for a bunch of people I didn't give a shit about. The switch in focus was jarring.

I'd love to read a fic where Taylor doesn't join the Wards. Just continues on doing what she was doing with the Undersiders as they expand their territory bit by bit.

Bit off topic but basically Onepunchman is about a guy who's hobby is that he's a superhero.

Why?

Because everyone he fights is defeated by one punch from him. Genetically modified beasts? One punch.

Super cyborg robot? One punch.

Lobster Men from the depths of the sea? One punch.

There's just no challenge to it any more so he decided to take up superheroing as a hobby. And since there's no real challenge he doesnt take much seriously.

Miss Skitter Goes To Sunnydale

Buffy crossover, it's pretty amusing actually.

 

This story annoys me so fast. The author has to make up bullshit reasons for Taylor to end up in the school so she could talk to Buffy.

Note: This is after Atlas, why the hell is she just saying okay here?

I know this is a crack fic and I am over thinking it, but crack fics that just ruin the characters character is not amusing. Also I think he called Taylor short.

 

To be honest, this started out alright, but it reads like the author wants to suck the collective dicks of his OCs.

 

Ryuugi wrote a really good fanfic, sort of a watchdogs on crack Taylor, probably one of the most interesting Ideas I've come across.
