http://www.fanfiction.net/s/9472509/1/Red A semi decent twin!fic where it doesn't have a bunch of retarded tropes, le gasp. But yeah, Lily and James aren't alive in this fic, and Harry actually gets along with his sister. It's pretty short, but give it a go.

Red is better than "semi decent". I'd give it 4/5, and that's only because it's at 20k words. If the quality is maintained [and judging by Drizzy's other two fics, Silver and Black, it will be] and the plot keeps my interest, then I'd most likely be rating Red as 5/5.

"You should think of this as an opportunity to learn about a completely different method of applied thaumaturgy," Zelretch explained. He then sighed and lamented, "For shame, to be cursed with such an ungrateful apprentice..."

Fate/Harry crossover. Fate/Stay Night crowd is ported into the universe of Harry Potter in his fifth year. It is still super early overall, but a lot of the little things in this story reminds me of a great writer and I am eagerly awaiting for it to update again. The setup is good and most of all it feels natural.

From the Fate Side, it is about ten years after an AU UBW ending.

I see no Silver on his stories. What are you on about?

I read the fic. 'Decent' is enough for it, I think. Certainly not 5/5, probably not even 4/5, but it is solid.

Midnight Gold: Rise of the Forgotten Lord - The chronicles of the rise of Lord Harry James Potter and his battle to rebuild the Potter family to its former glory, while working to prove himself worthy of the Potter name and its ancient legacy. Neville is true B-W-L, Rated M for mature themes, No slash. Chapters 15 to 19 currently being REVISED DUE TO GRAMMAR AND SPELLING ISSUES.

Personally I don't know what to think of this story. On a whole, I really like it. Yet I have so many nitpicks about it that detract from it as I'm reading it. I love all the political stuff that the story deals with and I enjoy everything Harry and his friends. My real problem with it comes it's Albus Dumbledore. The story seems to can't decide if it wants to have Dumbledore as a antagonist or an ally. While overall he is portrayed as at his core a good person, he seems to be annoyingly manipulative in a cliche way. I like some elements of him, but overall he just bothers me. Dumbledore aside, the story is okay and it does get really better later on, so it isn't bad. Also, Neville(who only speaks one sentence throughout the whole 355,164 story, yet is always mentioned) is basiclly a copy and paste of canon Harry, to the point of him being the Gryffindor seeker in first year(which makes no sense in context). It's not a bad story, and is in fact rather good, but my nitpicks with it make it hard to fully enjoy it at times. It's good, but definitely does not belong in the library.

Was about to read it when I saw that it hasn't even reached year 3 after 350,000 words. Yeah, no thanks. That's pacing I can do without.

Laughing . . . I'm reading JBern's To Fight the Coming Darkness. Almost 150,000 words into it and the summer isn't even over yet.

*on a side note, now I understand his AN in TLIL about making it through the summer in three chapters.

I really enjoyed it. Though, no matter how I read it, it definitely feels more like 10 years after the Heaven's Feel ending and not UBW. Humor is nice in the story, and the pacing is good. Though, if a fight eventually breaks out, I can't see it any other way than a one way stomp for Saber :p

I am going to do my best Taure here and explain why you are WRONG! Also spoilers to Fate/Stay, so don't read this if you haven't experienced it. Two things. First, this quote from the story.

"Rider barely refrained from twitching into a smile. While she had no memories of the Fifth Grail War, she had received a synopsis of what happened. "So you are suggesting that I act like Archer and Gilgamesh?""

This shows that for some reason she lost her memories. While is possible it is magic, only in Fate/UBW does she die.

    Second, another quote!

""Because if we can send tactile sensations through our link, then our next prana exchange ritual will involve a few experiments…""

This is Rin talking to Saber about the prana exchange ritual. While it is true magic sex does happen in Fate, only in UBW does this ritual involve Rin/Saber directly and only in normal UBW does the Rin/Saber/Shirou. (Rin was listed first since it is HER harem!)

On the note of the story, I really like it so far. I know I will end up putting it down for review once it updates two or so more times.

I feel like there are two too many FSN characters in Potterverse. Also, random divergence where Harry learns stuff between 4th and 5th year is random.

I feel like the story sort of has to be mostly focused on character drama to stay interesting, because with A rank Magic Resistance, Saber should be immune to basically everything any wizard could throw at her right?

Crap, now I feel like I am missing something obvious.

I think Transfiguration would work on Saber. Not directly of course, but transfiguring her environment to attack her might work. But considering her physical abilities in the HP Verse she is pretty unstoppable.

    A Memorable Year
It's about Gilderoy getting obliviated before he starts teaching in second year. He assumes his lack of defence abilities is grounded in the obliviation, and he then sets out to "get back in shape" before the school year. The story deals with how he teaches after this, and how he reacts to the basilisk.
