I was too lazy to dig up and necro the old thread for this show so I thought Id just make a new one. I'm really liking a lot of the new season so far, getting to learn more about Stanton Parish and his history is great and the way they're approaching this overarching Humans/Alphas dustup has been very entertaining so far.

With the characters I really like the Hicks/Dani angle and I definitely did not see that one coming at all. Kat is freaking hilarious and watching her beat the black off of Bill with almost no effort at all was just priceless. The only two gripes I have with characters this season are Rosen and Gary. I had no problem with Rosen as he was presented in the first season, a doctor who wanted to help Alphas but had a ruthless/manipulative streak in him but this season he just strikes me as stunningly hypocritical on a nearly episode per episode basis. As for Gary, I thought he was annoying last season but still had some decent moments here and there but this season he's just an incredibly annoying douchebag with nearly no redeeming traits so far.

 

I stopped watching it after the first few episodes of the new season. It just contains too many of my pet peeves.

All of the fights are stupid. At some point we should get some kind of idea of who will win against who and what peoples strong points and weak points are. But in fact it's completely up to the writers every time, it's completely unpredictable. If they want person A to win this time, they have person B acting stupidly. If they want person B to win, they have person A holding the idiot-ball.

One example: we've been introduced to equipment that blocks out extreme sounds/light and protects people from a lot of alpha abilities. But they will only occasionally use it.
Sometimes it's obvious that they will need it and it's not even mentioned - because it was inconvenient for the current storyline i guess.

I just can't watch a show that has so many people holding the idiot ball so often.

 

Seems like a Heroes/X-men rip off crossed with a detective show. I find it pretty good, mostly watch it as a time waster.

Hicks is my favorite character, and next weeks episode will probably only make him more so.

Rosen is an arrogant asshole. There are easily better shows.
