Last Call was my vote for action/adrenaline category.

Unleash the Contract for drama/theatre. (Madoka spoilers)

Happiness! for upbeat/rythem.

Heart Shaped Hole for sentiment/feels.

Ani-mon for humor/fun.

These were all made in the last year, and you may have seen them before (Last Call even in this thread), but they were new to me.

 

I don't know if this really counts as an AMV, but someone made an End of Evangelion trailer I liked.

10/10 song choice.

That was pretty well done in all aspects. My morale is certainly improved.

 

That was uplifting as fuck.

Haven't really come across a (decent) AMV with that sort of song genre.

 

Does this count? It's similarly uplifting (and very, very good).

 

The ending kinda kills off the uplift, in my opinion at least.

 

Couldn't think of a more deserving winner!

Uses footage from the show Gurren Lagann and its related movies which I haven't seen, but liked the video anyway.
I liked it because of good/fitting song selection and good video editing.

A Neon Genesis Evangelion AMV set to the song Clean Machine by The Presidents of the USA. Probably one of the best EVA music videos I've come across - has some really solid editing, and is just fun to watch.
