    Another pattern

I was thinking back to the meanings of nubers Caitiff posted not long ago http://forums.darklordpotter.net/showpost.php?p=114487&postcount=24 (I can't find the hyperlink button), and I saw an older thread that was mae a long way back about JKR and the nuber seven. So I thought each book might correspond with the it's number's meaning.

    Book 1

    1 is

to quote the-caitiff exactly. And in affect, this is exactly what the book does. Harry, before his freindship with Ron and Hermione and his discovery of magic, is incomplete. He's abused and belittled by his cousin, and is punished for things he has no apparent control over. Therefore, by receiving these things, Harry is complete.

    Book 2

In the second book, a journey does begin of sorts. Harry discovers more about the Wiarding World's archaic world via Dobby the House Elf, and the entirety of the book is a journey to proove himself- something he didn't have to do until that time. The partnership aspect is strong as well, with the Diary. A partnership is quite often a deep, personal thing- especially a romantic one- much like a diary. Tom is also shown to have a partnership ,in a sense, with snakes. The Basilisk and parseltounge, and his deep connection to Harry.

    Book 3

Strength, and cutting through impossible odds. Which is someting we dscover both Sirius and Harry in spades. Sirius, the first person to break out of Azkaban- and without help- and Harry, who managed to overcome his fear of Dementors, no matter how slight. That, and the strength of the Marauders freindship is shown.

    Book 4

Another completion number, and a stopping point. And this is what the book resolves around. It is still linked with strength because of the Triwizard challenge, but the process of Harry's naitivity to Voldemort's horror is stopped. Harry gives himself a goal, to defeat Voldemort. Voldemort has just finished a cycle also, his being that of life and death. He embarks on it yet again however, finishing his break from his journey to immortality.

    Book 5

You all know what this means, I'm sure. Chaos, and this book was most certainly the most chaotic and darkest of them yet. The book was in a way unpredictable- nobody guessed Voldemort's weapon would be the prophecy. As the-caitiff said, 5 is included in daily life. Umbridge and Snape certainly caused chaos almost daily, and Cho showed a lot of emotional chaos. Luna being bullied reminds us slightly of Harry's chaotic childhood, from when he too was bullied. Sirius's death also adds darkness to the book, as does Harry's first chaos based spelled, the Crucitas.

    Book 6

Responsibility- something Harry is given a lot more of. Dumbledore tells Harry of the Hocruxes, and Harry knows he has to track them down after Dumbledore's death. Slughorn's memory was of course Harry's greatest challenge, and something he was distracted from. Harry takes responsibility by giving the Felix Felicis to Ron/Hermione in case an attack happens- showing he's responsible enough to not be dubios of the possiblity of an attack.

    Book 7

Maybe you can predict more from this, but this was a spur of the moment thing. I'll think as to what it may mean later.

I think some of those were stretches, but at the same time I agree with the theory. I have no doubt that JK was thinking along similar lines, though she may have been using a different resource than Caitliff, or just been taking the bare bones of it all.
