No, because that is EXACTLY how you should be reading that. LOOK at that picture, that is Emperor Mario in the top left corner. That blue-haired dude in the center? Sonic.

There's always been a lot of <5 minute shows that were completely ignored by everyone outside of Japan (and most people in Japan). This season CR picked up a bunch of them, so they're actually getting some exposure. I'm guessing that they're basically free to license, so they don't need much of a fanbase to be profitable.

 

Honestly? I view it as kind of a bait an switch..

"Check it out. All these wimmenz and the protag. They're so into him. Gonna be a harem mang- JUST KIDDING! AHAHAHA THIS IS ABOUT ECONOMICS FOO!"

Well I'm interested, but I'm not too keen on the Major's new look. I think she was best in the movie, though I came to tolerate, though never actually like, her design in SAC. Mostly it was the hair color and eyes. Considering the adherence to realism GitS has in many other areas, purple hair just seems really out of place, especially when she's the only one (that I remember anyway) with "anime hair." Honestly I just hate the multicolor hair thing in anime altogether, unless there's an actual reason for it, like being a genetic abnormality or something.

Hopefully they get rid of Togusa's mullet already.

 

Anybody else besides me watching these? They're pretty epic. Also I'm watching a few of the < 5 minute anime. Mostly because they make me laugh.
