Here's a prediction: Pym Particles are related to the Infinity Stones, or at least something from Asgard.

Well gee, sorry for party rocking.

All this Hank hate makes me sad. Hank is one of my favorite marvel heroes. Lang is boring shit and I wish they swapped him out with O'Grady.

Wright said in early interveiws the movie is half Pym and Wasp in the 60s being heroes as the lead and half Lang in modern day.

My guess is Pym will be the Reed stand-in after this in the MCU. He's the Scientist Supreme in Marvel. And intelligence-wise, last I checked I'm pretty sure he's been confirmed much smarter than Stark and Banner just being beat by DOOM and Richards.

I'm mostly familiar with Hank Pym from the Ultimate universe where he, along with almost everyone else, is an asshole. I know mainstream Pym for four main things: "Pym Particles", becoming "Yellowjacket" at one point, his rivalry with Reed Richards and hitting his wife.

EDIT: FIVE! Five things. Ultron, the genocidal robot. Also that. Yes.

While the "hitting his wife" thing sounds bad, at least he didn't try poisoning her with insecticide and set devouring ants on her to my knowledge, as the Ultimate version once did.

Only things I've ever read Ant-Man in are Avengers: The Initiative and Avengers Academy. He was a Skrull infiltrator in one and a teacher in the other one. Like him in AA though.

My favorite will, and always will be the Irredeemable Ant-Man: Eric O'Grady. You can have your mentally unstable wife-beaters who built Ultron, you can have... whatever the hell Scott Lang is, and I'll take a voyeuristic chauvinistic asshole like O'Grady any day.

Didn't he rape someone and then pretend his skrull did it for him?

    It was a skrull.

It's just skrull shapeshifting is so exact that Tigra's baby is technically also Hank's and he's taken responsibility for both of them because he's a good, decent guy. Plus honestly I'm just glad he's away from Wasp who consistently is one of the worst avengers outside of the EMH cartoon.

That bitch genuinely had that slap coming. Seriously she knew Hank was mentally ill, hid it from the other avengers because she like how bold he was getting. She manipulated his illness to get Hank to marry her. Then she got surprised that he got sicker and had a very serious break down and slapped her. If Wasp wasn't an awful person she'd have gotten him the help he needed a long time before that.

Honestly the only positive memory I have of Hank Pym is in the Ultimate Universe where Captain America beats his ass, and that's only a positive for Captain America. Also if they can fit that into the MCU somehow it'd be amazing.

Bye bye Edgar. Didn't see that coming tbh. Colour me less interested in the film now.

Lol based on the new directors previous experience, you can tell they were scraping the bottom of the barrel !

Looked up the director and wasn't overly impressed. Looked up the writer and my heart sank. Marvel (or Disney), what are you doing?

So the Animorphs books are being continued? That's good I never liked the ending.

Why'd you put it in the Ant-Man thread though?

Evangeline Lily is playing Hank Pym and Janet's daughter, Hope Pym.

Villain is Yellowjacket, Hank's company partner who is sending the company into a shady direction. Hank is a bitter man who resents Superheroes and stopped being Ant-Man, years ago. He is using Scott to take up his mantle and help end Yellowjacket's plans.

So apparently we're getting Batman Beyond: Marvel Edition
