Avira and AVG have failed me before, but Avast hasn't.

 

I've been using AVG and MSE since I finally became fed up with McAfee's bullshit. I *think* I've gotten McAfee completely uninstalled from my Vista laptop, but on the family XP desktop (which is the computer virus equivalent of Dark Ages Europe thanks to my kids clicking everything in the world, sometimes twice) and my wife's XP netbook, McAfee seems to hang around like cockroaches slash the clap slash your in-laws, despite my efforts at removing it. I know there's a way to do it once and for all, it's just not been worth my time as of yet.
