Are we supposed to be invested in Lana/Archer as a couple? Apart from the occasional episode, they've barely acted like they're in a relationship at all.

 

I hope so. Never really liked them as a couple, they are at their best being snarky exs to each other.

Take a good look at Luigi just before the tag-team showdown with Veronica Dean. Luigi looks a lot like a certain Randy we see repeatedly. Coincidence or just a long shot theory, Archer is somehow in Mexico. Probably getting drunk & boning once more.

Cheryl in a towel though, daaaaamn.

Didn't realise that was the end of the season... And they haven't confirmed season 8 yet, although it's to be announced at whichever comicon is the one at the end of July.

Man, why didn't anyone tell me the new season had already started? Hell, it's almost over.

Thoughts as I go along:

This first episode's cold open is fucking depressing. Like whoah. This whole season is incredibly dark. Basically everything about Krieger, holy shit. Humor still on point on though. Lotta flashbacks for everyone, too, for some reason. Archer has PTSD? Maybe? Barry's whole deal is FUCKED, too.

The noir vibe's fairly convincing so far, honestly. Doesn't work as a period piece. Not very enthused by Cheryl, Lana, or everyone calling Mallory "Mother", but I suppose some sacrifices had to be made to preserve both the noir and the established characters.
