Slade referenced a son in the first season, but I got the impression he was fairly young still. Though he has two sons I think, at least in the comics, so he might still have an older one.

From what I understand, the CW has purportedly been given the go ahead to make a Young Justice show. I would love to see them tie that show into Arrow. Let Roy show up or something.

That said...I'm extremely hesitant with the CW handling a "Teen Drama with a superhero twist." It should be a "Teen Superheros with a dramatic twist." That's just my two cents.

I'm fine with Arrow, a Flash spinoff and this possible Hourman thing I heard they might do, but I think a Young Justice show would be stretching things a bit.

By the way, this show came back tonight. It was another great episode, though it distinctly lacked Slade.

Clearly the writers agree, because this was in the preview for next week's episode.

 

My Laurel hate lessened in this episode. Still the most useless character though, way too passive for someone who's supposed to become the Black Canary. I can only think that its bad writing or a set up for when she finally decides to go vigilante.

Great episode overall, but I hope they don't drag the Roy part out for too long. Also, more Slade, the frenemies angle is going to make this very interesting.

 

Honestly, I think the Blood thing might have been done better by keeping us in the dark before regarding Brother Blood's true identity (obviously not calling him that). Having this be the actual reveal would have been better, imo.

 

I thought the whole Laurel thing was kind of dumb. Yes, it's nice that she has some initiative, but she has absolutely no reason for going all crime sleuth in this case. I get WHY they did it, but it just felt hamfisted

 

The actress who plays Laurel needs to stop whatever the hell it is she's doing to herself. Girl looks more like Skeletor with every passing episode.

I kinda assumed it was method-acting on some level. You know, reflecting some of the mental trauma physically.

 

Looks more to me like the combination of unhealthy weight loss and botched cosmetic procedures.

That Deathstroke armor is so badass. I can't wait to see him do more than fuck over goons.

 

Laurel plays a good semi-functioning addict, though still a long ways off from becoming someone you could like.

I love this show. Mainly because it doesn't try to keep you on the hook with drawn out storylines that could be resolved in a few episodes. The rumours of this version of Arrow appearing in the Justice League movie actually make me take an interest.

IMO tonight's episode was the best acting I have seen from Amell so far. The stone-faced look after Felicity's reveal and then the smack down on Moira...excellent IMO.

...Huh. Two weeks off? I know they're taking next week off for the Olympics, but what about the week after that? Goddamn it.
