The stunts in this show are incredible. Arrow and Canary on the bike was just amazing.

Agreed. Even some of the wire work looks kinda realistic.

Things are building up nicely. Although with so many storylines going, some of them might not get resolved this season. I mean, there's so much going on, Blood and Slade, League of Assassins, Roy, Merlin, island stuff, romance stuff (cause its cw) and now Moira as well. Saying that, this show does have a good record for not dragging things out.

Oliver man you gotta take advantage while you can. You, Sara, Felicity. Threesome. If anyone can pull it off, it's you bro. Lock that shit down, live out the rest of your days like a true king. I believe in you.

Just watched the new episode. Hopefully this is the end of the annoying parts of Laurel. I should admit though I have trouble remembering the good bits.

Of the episode, or of Laurel specifically? Because even when Laurel did have positive things going for her (back in season 1, because there sure hasn't been any in season 2 up until literally this episode) she didn't have a whole lot.

I chuckled like a villain when I heard Slade at the Queen Mansion. This was a pretty good episode - adorably insecure Felicity, the reveal of Sin's origin and her relationship with Sara, and hopefully Laurell won't be annoying and angsty anymore.

"You're lucky your life doesn't revolve around lying."

    I laughed.

The MacGregors thing was a clever Batman shoutout. Still, Sarah taking a looking at a blood smear under the microscope and diagnosing the dude with it is absurd... even if it is an imaginary disease. Low platelet count and "cell damage" isn't exactly specific haha

That line was incredibly contrived. Something like " you're lucky you don't have to lie a lot" would've been better.

I swear I am growing to like this series more and more with each passing episode. I love how the writers are not dragging plot-lines out to insufferable levels. I remember when I used to watch Smallville, one of my biggest gripes was how much filler the series seemed to have that stretched their story arcs to annoying lengths. With Arrow, they give just the perfect amount of build up before they hit you with the payoff and begin building up the next thing. The only thing that has me worried is that I fear they are going to burn through too much content too fast and eventually nosedive to a slower pace. I honestly don't know how the writers are going to keep up with the pace they currently have going. However, I am damn sure going to enjoy it while it lasts.

I really look forward to the next episode.

Thankfully, there's a whole lot of content in the DCU to adapt, so I don't think they'll really run out, at least as far as Starling is concerned.

The Island, on the other hand...

EDIT: Then again, the island plots are generally a lot slower anyway, so that might not be a big issue either. I dunno, I'm just not concerned about them running out of content.

I don't know whether it was intentional or not but Felicity did seem to pale in comparison to Sara.(screen presence wise)

I like how she seems like really mature, I mean if it was Laurel, I'm sure she would have been taking thinly veiled jabs at felicity.

Its seeming more and more that its Laurel that's going to take up the black canary mantle but I just don't see how they are going to show that someone who went to self defense class is better than an international assassin whose been taught in the same place as freaking Batman.

Assuming, of course, that she was taught in the same place as Batman. That said, yeah, Laurel's going to need an Island of her own in order to compare, since pretty much every single superhero character we've encountered so far has already had a 'montage' implied within their backstory. If anything, hopefully the taking of the BC mantle will occur as something she vows to do prior to disappearing for a couple of seasons.

Alright finally caught up on season two and Im definitely into this show now.
A few things occurred to me

    In no particular order
    1. I suppose I do get why Ollie isn't killing anymore but I wish he would, for the most part problems tend to stay a lot more gone with an arrow in the heart as opposed to the shoulder or leg.
    2. I really liked Helena at first but Jesus she got whacked with the stupid stick while she was gone. She knows full well Oliver is capable of killing people and yet she's surprised that when she blackmails him with threats to his family, violently attacks two of his closest friends and then murders just flat out shitloads of cops in cold blood he decides she has to go?
    3. I found Roy very annoying at first but the little shit is starting to grow on me, at this rate I might start to like him a bit soon.
    4. Felicity is so adorable it's almost painful.
    5. As mentioned earlier the stunts on this show are just ridiculously awesome. Even the training/work out stunts are better than the entirety of the work on plenty of other shows.
    6. I'm guessing Merlyn is still alive thanks to a Lazarus Pit but Im honestly not sure I get why he was brought back. Thus far nothing has happened on the show that couldn't have with him six feet under.
    7. I liked Shado >.<, I knew Ollie was never going to make a different choice but it still absolutely blows.
    8. Fuck Blood, that creepy little bastard needs to get corrective eye surgery via arrow/swordpoint fast.
    9. I know he's the bad guy but YAY Slades here. He is an awesome bad guy.
    10. I kinda wonder what would happen if Thea found out about Ollie's new hobby, I've always loved the way characters react in this show.
    11. Anyone else wondering what would have happened if Ollie was the one that got injured and doped with the Mirakuru instead of Slade?
    12. I really like Quentin and unlike most people I think Im kinda 50/50 on Laurel. She keeps swinging from impressive moments to want to throttle her to death moments so wildly, Im hoping that's done now that she's going to meetings with her dad.
    13. I loved Ollie finally telling her off in the hall, that was great.

As for #6, the implication is that
    Merlyn faked his death.

While superpowers are absolutely in the show at this point, I don't think the show's gone off to that level yet. Besides, they also implied (stated?) that
the League of Assassins isn't all that happy with Merlyn. I don't think they'd let Merlyn use the Lazarus Pit if they want him dead.

    Wait what?
I freely admit it's possible I either missed or am flat out forgetting something but how could he have? Ollie literally stabbed him in the heart and he is enough of a trained killer to know if someone actually bought it or not I'd assume.

As for the Pit, in the comics at least they're a naturally occurring phenomenon and a pile of people flat out made one for themselves. You could be entirely right I admit but if they want to stick to the comics at all I could very easily see an obscenely wealthy lunatic like Merlyn locating or making one for that exact eventuality. He had enough pull and resources after everything he did to quash Moira's trial and nearly the entire city wanted her intestines on a stick, having one guy ready to grab his body and dump it in a hole he wouldn't even have to know was special on the chance someone offed him seems pretty plausible to me.
Rym: When she was doped up after she got shot that was just brain melting adorable.

Ollie also thought he killed Slade, and look how that turned out.

While I do get what you're saying I do think there's an enormous difference between the guy with literally superhuman endurance and regeneration not being dead when you think and the baseline lunatic not being dead when he should be.
