Slade basically said that he'd either turn everyone against Ollie or kill everyone that Ollie loves. So far there's no way anyone isn't backing Ollie so all that's left is the killing but he said that he only needs to kill Sara(presumably) for it to end now.

So was that scene where it flashed to everyone basically useless?

 

Caught up with it after hours of marathoning and jeez! Fucking awesome man. I totally wanna see Avenger!Ollie here for a spiel. We've never seen an honest to god rage filled Ollie. I'm really anticipating this grudge/death match between him and slade to be awesome as hell.

I kinda get the feeling that we'll see Oliver contemplating taking the Mirakuru in an effort to kill Slade. It'd be an awesome twist in the plot if he took it, but I highly doubt he will because Green Arrow never had any super strength feats if I remember right.

 

Just because he only plans one more death doesn't mean he doesn't have plans for the others. He could ruin Felicity's career, expose Diggle's dealings with ARGUS (which could take out that thorn in his side as well). I think this war is psychological wrt more than just Ollie. Look at how he handled Vincent, Thea and Laurel (and for that matter, the reveal to Laurel clearly didn't do as much damage as he was hoping, so I'm guessing he's going to be coming up with more plans in that area).

 

I would not be surprised if Felicity gets laid off at some point in the next few episodes. There is no reason for her to keep her current job with Isabel at the helm.

 

It'll be interesting to see how that plays out next season. This whole time Diggle has been Oliver's bodyguard, but now that he probably won't get paid he'll have to get a new job. There might be tension between Ollie and Felicity if she chooses to return to her old IT job. Either way two-thirds of Team Arrow will have time-consuming jobs with less lenient bosses and Ollie will have to start retrieving all his arrows after missions to save money. (Who knows, Oliver Queen did become mayor in the comics at one point, maybe they'll go that route? Still don't know what they're doing with Brother Blood.)

 

That's assuming Oliver doesn't kill the bitch who stole his company. He almost did before Slade drugged her up.

 

I'm going to be honest here: I don't think Ollie will kill either of them. Also, that was Diggle.

I just hope that this means that this will lead to Sara being forced to go back to the league and not dying. It would also set up a direct conflict between the league and Olliver.

Still holding out for a Malcolm and Olliver beatdown of Slade. That would be epic.

So I just caught up the last few episodes. And uh... wow.

Yeah, so this show is still just as good as I remembered. Good to see.

Moira's death was just fantastically done.

 

So we've got Deathstroke, Brother Blood, Ravager, and the mirakuru army; Team Arrow; one or more members of the League of Assassins; ?ARGUS/Suicide Squad?; and wherever the hell Barrowman's Dark Archer fits in. And the final two episodes take place within the same night that City of Blood just ended on. Damn.

 

I just saw this and said "oh yeeeaaah" in the squeakiest, unmanliest voice ever. This show does that to me.

 

"...this city..". could make a very effective drinking game.

Anyway, Laurel plays the anyone, go where you're not needed and needlessly hold everyone else back trope, which I absolutely loathe.

 

Err, she pretty much just saved Ollies life, when it looked like he was trying to get himself killed again. I think she gets a pass this time.

 

Here's my issue with this whole "Slade being invincible" arc of the show.

A couple episodes back, Ollie shot him with three arrows of toxin that put Slade to sleep (then stupidly tried to let the police arrest him). What exactly is preventing Ollie from doing the same thing... and then putting a bullet through Slade's head? Or decapitating him?

Edit: Finally finished the latest episode. My question stands. Why fight these miracuru soldiers and almost die when you could just put them to sleep and then kill them? Just seems like one of those things that was convenient for the plot a couple episodes back and now the writers realized they probably should have thought it through a bit more...

 

Wasn't that some special kind of venom that they used up sedating Roy, though?
