Anybody else find it weird that Slade never talks about his wife or kid that he mentions in season one? Especially since his kids are actually semi-important to the DC Universe as one was a Teen Titan at one point and his other kid ended up becoming a villain. Although I haven't seen the season finale yet, so if he does mention them at one point, I apologize.

 

Olicity!

Very satisfying finale in a lot of ways. Slade will be back a few seasons along the line to haunt everybody again, Merlyn the smug bastard who I can't decide if I love or hate is back, Thea may or may not become badass, and Laura actually rocked the Canary jacket. What's not to love? Sad to see Sara go though, but she'll definitely be back as well. I feel like the cinematic universe and the rogues gallery is really beginning to build up. Boy, I so can't wait for fall.

Now excuse me while I go yell myself hoarse and cry about what an awesome rollercoaster this season has been.

 

I'm fine with her. The past 5 episodes have covered what, a 3 day span? The girl has the right to be moody.

Besides, she'll never be as terrible as Laurel. So there's always that.

 

ARGUS turned the island into Supermax. That's so good.

So good.

 

A. Holy fuckballs that entire episode was amazing.
B. I want everyone to die in a fire for having that Oliver/Felicity confession be staged and Oliver not kissing her at the end on the beach.
C. Isabel died like a bitch, that made me just so very damned happy.
D. If Lance really is dead Im going to be pissed, short of Ollie, Felicity and Slade he's my favorite.

 

Just regarding this specifically: IIRC Slade told her that Oliver knew for months and he never got a chance to correct her when the argument happened.

 

I caught that earlier, it looks badass. I can't wait for that show to start (and for Arrow to come back, of course!)

I took that scene on the beach to be a sort of apology. They took the shippers for a ride. In a sense, I'd describe that scene as them saying "there is something there, but we're not going to bring it that far yet. Sorry!"

That said, I basically agree with all of this anyway.

E: Also, man. With where they've brought Roy's character - giving him the mask and his storing the red bow at his house - they have no choice. Next year they have to call him the Green Arrow. I am so fucking ready.

 

I think I remember Slade leaving the impression that Oliver had known about Thea's parentage for months or years, and Oliver did nothing to dispel her of that thought when she mentioned it.

And as pretty much every single character on this show had in fact been lying to her quite frequently, Thea's attitude makes sense.

 

I recall her specifically saying that Oliver had been lying to her for months. *shrugs*

And yes, that is awesome.

Dat Ending when he wakes up. It had so much 'Fuck Yes." attached to it.

Only thing that riled me was the de-powered slade, Non-super slade just doesn't feel right to me. And even then, Oliver shouldn't have been able to beat him, unless you factor in not used to being at normal human level which could have distracted Slade in their battle.

 

Theas annoying me as shes totally willing to disregard all the bad things Malcom has done - especially to her family - and leave with him.

I have a feeling next season will feature a cold, distant badass mini Merlin Thea.

Calling it now, they hooked up until she ended up killing just shitloads of people in the name of "national security" at which point she landed on the list.

 

And then she either dumped him on the island to die. Or dumped him on the island and sent fisherman there to help him get off like 6 months later.

 

I was cringing so hard during Thea's speech/letter, waiting for the moment where she signed herself Thea Merlin. Thank God that didn't happen.

 

Haha, read somewhere about theories of her being Cheshire. Next season shes going to be worse though, guranteed.
