Stephen Amell is a Class Act. Compared to all these other celebrities and such that are constantly in the news, Stephen gets my respect.

His acting might not always be the greatest, but it has improved leaps and bounds since episode 1. Really looking forward to Season 3

 

So just watched the premiere and damn 0.o. Was expecting a lot of things and wasn't expecting a couple big things.

1. Olivers moments in Hong Kong, the first scene screamed Jason Bourne to me.
2. His initial scenes with Felicity, they were ridiculously sweet.
3. All of the fight scenes, they came back in full force and it was amazing.
4. Sarah's "death" I have no idea if its permanent or not yet but the fact that they brought her back for a fragment of an episode only to seemingly kill her is ballsy.
Disliked
1. Ray Palmer. Fuck him, fuck every bit of that slimy creepy douche and every scene he was in. They all screamed "Date Rape imminent in 10, 9, 8...."
2. The new Count. I thought that was ridiculous Oliver got tagged even once by that pussy.
3. Oliver "breaking up" with Felicity, it made me want to choke someone violently. They cant even give us a couple of fucking episodes?

Really? Thought Brandon Routh was really good. Im disliking how Thea is apparently so good after 5 months already tho. Hope next month shows some flaws/inexperience.

 

Best parts of the episodes, IMO, were Olliver battling with the fact that if he continues to live his life like this, he'll end up dead and alone. I think they nailed those scenes.

 

She's learning under Malcolm Merlyn, former member of the League of Assassins. I can buy her being more than skilled. She'll of course be nowhere near Malcolm or Oliver's level. The next episode is supposed to show us more of her training and I'm sure they'll show her mistakes.

 

Totally agree with Narf. Hope she isnt super strong after 5 months too.

Also curious about Diggles comment about Lyla being willing to use ARGUS to help them find Saras killer... didnt think they had ever met.

 

If I had to hazard a guess Id say it wasn't because Lyla was close to Sara but because it would be John asking and it would be extremely important to him.

A. Loved all of the fight scenes in Corto Maltese, very suitably badass.
B. Nearly died laughing when Laurel got beaten like a redhead end stepchild but I knew she'd end up training with the boxer as soon as he handed her the flyer.
C. Still hate Palmer so very very very much.
D. I thought Thea caved waaaaay too fast but on the other hand it is kinda nice they didn't draw it out.
E. With Nyssa showing up like that I can't help but think Ra's is the one who killed Sarah now.
F. Correct me if Im wrong but on those blueprints Palmer was looking at, did it say OMAC in the lower right corner?
G. Stephen Amell was again awesome tonight, that scene with Thea was extremely powerful.

 

I dont think Ra's was behind it, I think he sent her there to find out who was - dont forget, Moira told him in s2 that Malcom was still alive, so they will probably have Oliver and Nyssa team up and go after him, and then at the end they will probably show a little clip of Ra talking to Nyssa about Oliver next week.

I like the Roy-Oliver dynamic, its really improving. I notice Thea noticed it a little as well, which I reckon she'll only be more curious about.

Im annoyed at how theyre handling the Felicity stuff, honestly for someone who loves Oliver, she sure seems to fall for anyone who pays her attention imo.

Thea, well I think Thea gave herself away a little at the end, he isnt an idiot.

Also the tie ins with ARGUS are great imo.

 

Its a lot of guessing but I think this is also a way for Thea to get some pay back on everyone else whose been keeping secrets. Its a very juvenile way of thinking but shes a kid so its not unbelievable .

Plus she knew that her mom seemed to have good intentions in the end after all the shit she pulled so maybe she decided that it would be better to actually know Malcolm and not what he presented himself as.


Anyway I'm hoping that Roy becomes a little bit more involved in things. So far he's just been there and hasn't really done anything yet.


I thought Laurel could take out the guy considering she took out some armed guys back when her apartment was being broken into every week. So a retcon? Hoping that whatever she learns will be distinctly different to Oliver's fighting.

 

Not really a retcorn, just showing that Laurel isn't a badass fighter yet, she beat some people who broke into her apartment, but she lost against others, so its still realistic.

And what Malcom presents himself as? Why does it matter? Hes a killer, killed the guy who raised her, etc...

 

One thing I'm really not digging this season is Palmer. I'm not really sure how the show wants me to feel about him, but buying an entire company just so Felicity would be working for him is some psycho-level stalker shit and she barely seemed to react to it at all. Everything about the guy just comes across as sleazy as hell to me.

 

I think I'm the only person who actually likes Palmer lol. I'm pretty sure that he's going to end up a bad guy, but he's played his role well so far.

 

I have no background knowledge of any superhero franchise. I don't know who or what the atom is, but going by your post I assume it means that Palmer isn't a bad guy? That would be a refreshing change.

 

I don't think he bought the company so he could have Felicity working for him, but for the stuff that was in the hard drive that we saw at the end of the last episode.

 

He's basically the same sleaze from Chuck haha
