Ok, so I just saw the latest episode. The one after the cliffhanger where... well we all know what happened.

I thought it was disappointing as hell. I've really not been enjoying Arrow that much this season. It's lost the pace it kept up for two seasons, and it's suffering for it.

This episode was just one big whinefest. The reveal at the end was lackluster as well.

 

Lazarus pit should have happened.

I hated felicity...yet I like the fact that it made sense. She's a civilian. Unlike Diggle who is military or Roy who grew up on the streets, she doesn't know how to handle this.

Agree that it was a crappy episode. I'm finding I'm enjoying Gotham more. Flash is still fun.

 

Meh, Arrow has gone through two major villains and completely shifted the scenery (worldbuilding) doing so. I'm willing to give it a few episodes to build everything back up.

 

I'm not a big fan of the ATOM stuff that's happening with Ray Palmer, I really hope that after he finishes the suit he goes off to make his own show like The Flash did.

 

I don't know what it is, the actress being horrible at acting, or Felicity just being a very mary-sueish character, but I'm really not liking how she seems to be attractive to every single superhero of the CWSuperverse.

Getting a bit old.

Also, Stephen Amell is a REALLY nice guy but his acting sucks. His emotions all look so fake.
But great job on all the training, you can tell he doesn't really use stuntmen.
Also, he's great with his fans from what i can tell.

This show is way too over-rated.

 

I dunno, I like Ray Palmer more than Oliver right now. Present!Oliver at least. I'm still enjoying past!Oliver.

 

I expected Laurel to be the irritating one the last few weeks, instead it is scenes with Felicity that were near unbearable. Also the episodes were pretty good, which suprised me a little.

 

Laurel's coming along now because she's doing something other than judge people and be an intoxicated cunt. Felicity on the other hand needs to step her game up if she wants to stay away from Laurel's previous spot as the most useless character on the show.

Best part of the episode was the alley scene with Lance and Roy. Hilarious.

 

Eh, I see where Felicity is coming from. It really feels like, with everything that's happened with him so far, Merlyn's just continuously dodging responsibility for all the things he's done. I wouldn't sanction working with him, at all.

The episode actually showed how that would work quite well. Break the idea that there's a dichotomy between 'cross the line' and 'let people die' - after all, the team refused to work with Merlyn and still managed to save the Glades. Time and again, Oliver lets Merlyn walk even though he really doesn't deserve to. Sometimes it's warranted by circumstance, granted, but still.

Does Oliver need Merlyn in this case? I would say yes. That's because I've seen the fight, seen Oliver get destroyed by a Ra's who was trying so little a stuntman did half his scenes. Felicity hasn't seen how close he came to death. It would be downright stupid if she didn't object, given that Merlyn deliberately engineered the situation which led to Oliver facing off against Ra's in the first place (which only adds to his litany of previous crimes, let's not forget).

 

I forget, but does Laurel know that Merlyn basically killed Sara? Cause if she does why hasn't she tried killing him yet? Listening to Merlyn talk in the episode I was nodding along like, "Yeah, he tried to save the city in his own way by destroying the Glades!" then I remember he drugged Thea and killed Sara and I'm like, "Well there's really no excuse for that..."

 

Heh, Laurel vs Malcolm. There's an evenly balanced fight.

 

I think that will be a conflict point later in the season.

Felicity has been annoying me like crazy the past few weeks.

Not sure why Laurel is out in the field when Diggle is a trained soldier with additional training from Oliver.

Looks like Lance might figure stuff out soon.

And Tatsu is actually a female that Oliver hasnt slept with. Was expecting some goodbye sex tbh.

 

It honestly still annoys me that Diggle goes out without a mask. He didn't this episode, IIRC, but he continually does so despite the obvious stupidity.

 

Speaking of Tatsu...so it's pretty much confirmed their kid is dead, yeah?

 

Well, not directly, but Maseo is with the League and Tatsu is a hermit. It's possible that Maseo sticks with the League because they have his kid (to train or as a hostage, or both) but in that case Tatsu wouldn't ask him to stay. Unless she didn't know and thinks the kid is dead, but I don't know where they would go with that given the relative unimportance of the characters in question.

 

Pff...Oliver just needs to go get Batman to come take care of Ra's. Or...at the very least if Batman is not in existence yet Flash.

That said, Batman pretty much has to exist in this Universe. Too many easter eggs...

Plus, the Teen Titan's show might cross over.

 

Bruce Wayne probably exists, yeah. Batman? I dunno, seems unlikely.

 

Haha, true, why doesn't Ollie just recruit Flash to take care of Ras.

Also this Diggle thing is getting annoying. I wonder why if the actor even fights for meatier roles. I'd think it would be more beneficial to him to do more right.

Quality of the action scenes seems to have dropped, things seem less sleek.

Ollie's return was underwhelming.

Thea is still hot.
