I was just checking what happened on my birthday (12th May) on some website and came across this.

    "1809
British commander Sir Arthur Wellesley, later the Duke of Wellington, defeats the French at Oporto - forcing Napoleon to retreat from Portugal."

    Interesting, no?

P.S. What's the command for the quote box?

To open a quote box you write [ QUOTE ]. To end it you write [ /QUOTE ].

If you want to quote someone in particular, you can use this: [ QUOTE=Name ].

    All without the spaces.

I don't see what this has to do with Arthur Weasley.

    Hug!
    Mine too on 12th may.
About Weasley- interesting but there is more developed theory behind his character name. Something about King Arthur against Lucius the roman emperor.

This could be a... unique plot bunny. Arthur becomes general and defeats Voldemort at battle of Hogwarts or something. If his parents combatted dark lord Grindelwauld 3 times, and he was born as the seventh month dies...

I don't like the idea, Original Poster, but it is interesting.

Cupspeaker that is a no. The Tom would have to be Grindelwauld for that to work.

I dont understand. What is wrong with it? It could be a unique idea, right?

Edit: you wanna know something funny? I already wrote half of it before I checked your guys posts about it not being a good idea. Sigh. Now I dont know if I should complete it...

I will very politely tell you that it is NOT such a good idea. Stick to your current fic. Polish it up and go with it. This is the last thing you need.

*grumbles to himself muttering something about putting some kid named yarrgh in a barrel*

Fine. Its just a waste because I spent an hour already writing half of it.

But ok, I will stick with my current fic.

    Aw, that's mean.

You go right ahead and finish it, Cupspeaker, if that's what you really want to do.

Erm. Arthur defeats Voldemort at Hogwarts? One word: Prophecy. Trelawney would have had to have given the prophecy a lot earlier, when Arthur was born. Then you have to take into account who heard the prophecy. And then you have to take into account how Voldemort marked Arthur. And then you have to take into account why Voldemort attacked the Weasleys.
Change it to Grindelwald, and it could work, except Arthur would have to be very young. Very young. And then you could end it with Dumbledore obliviating Arthur.

Or, alternatively, don't do it. /me shrugs. Do what you want.

To be honest, i probably wouldn't read it anyways, even if it is a good idea. I tend to stick around with the actual 'Harry Potter' fanfiction and not 'Arthur Weasley' fanfiction. No offense or anything... but thats my way.
