The story is HP/GW but I have choosen to overlook that point and; yes there are cliches but is it truly possible to write a fic without using them?
It does get slightly long winded at times but the writing is solid, the author has used correct prose and has very few slip ups if any.
I would rate this a 4 at best it is long and as such attracted my interest as I find it is hard for a fic to be over 200K words without being reasonably good.
Give it a try if you are bored, and I apologise for the HP/GW but she is a "Good" Ginny not a simpering twit.

It is very easy for a fic to be long and shit. Shit doesn't stop stinking just because there's a lot of it.

First chapter or two are simply horrible, later it gets readable. Nothing special, it's good enough story to pass the time if you're bored but it doesn't belong to the library (and not because of the pairing).

I remember reading this fic sometime back. I wasn't able to get past the fast few chapters to read the entirety of the story, it was too boring. The writing is about average but there is no grip to keep a reader immersed in the story. Its not library material, and from my point of view it doesn't even belong in the recycle bin.

I've read about 30 chapters a few months ago before I abandonned this story. At first, I thought this may end up being a guilty pleasure dark Harry fanfiction, especially considering the huge amount of reviews. I ended up being disappointe. I learned my lesson: good fanfictions which happen to have a H/G in it are quasi-inexistant.

You know, Harry messing up Voldemort's ritual is the only thing I enjoyed here so far. The conversations lack reality, harry's plan have yet to fail, and I wont even talk about his 'manipulations' of the minister and the headmaster.

Still, theres way worse stories out there.

Has quite a few 4/5-ish moments, but the romance was the weakest link of the story by far, and I'm not saying that because of the pairing. Hermione's characterisation was implausible at first, despite her thoughts being a pretty good H/Hr parody by themselves, but the psychological disorder explains that away for the most part. The author's inexperience shines through at times, this is obviously the first novel-length project he's attempted. The story would, in retrospect, probably have been better if more work had been put on each chapter. But that's just the downside of a super-fast update rate.

NightSpy hit the nail on the head with his comments. I quite enjoyed how the author alluded to H/G's nature as villains, on the other hand.

2/5, because of all the suspension of disbelief required to enjoy this.

I have to say his writing ability falls apart later, far more mistakes creeping in but nothing that spell check would pick up, more along the lines of incorrect wording.
I feel itis worth a read for some pieces but on closer reflection probably not Library worthy.
Epic Fail of recommendation on my part.

There was a whole bunch of great ideas in this fic, but it never really came together. I had hopes, but they where not met. It is not a bad story, but it does not meet the high DLP mark.

On the other hand it would be a real asset to most of the other HP boards out there that are just filled with dreck.

Having read through this fic... honestly, the story feels sloppy. Contrived and hastily written, with little planning or forethought. Pretty easy to do when you have a quasi-rehash of canon, but it was still disappointing. There were some nifty ideas that were brought up, to be sure, but the contrivance of the plot was enough to totally drown my suspension of disbelief.

My biggest problem with this story is characterization. When it is there, it is haphazard - and it's not often there. Arguably, I think the serious lack of realistic characters ruins this story more than any H/G ship.

I tried to read this a few months back. It's epic fail.

Harry/Ginny first of all. Then we get into the whole Super!Harry from nowhere crap.

The only good thing about it is that the writing is solid.

    1/5

On a somewhat related note, the author is in the middle of writing a Harry/Daphne story that's somewhat readable, and is updated regularly. I was thinking of posting it here, but I wanted to wait to see if goes down the road this does with the Sudden!Super!Harry.

Check it out if you're bored though.

I could only get through a few chapters, for reasons posted above.

As for the Harry/Daphne fic - for now it is solid 3/5 territory. I really like the Harry/Daphne interaction in it - but the Harry/Dumbledore and Harry/Ministry interactions are simply ridiculous. Also a tad sloppily written. Hrmm, maybe it's more of a 2/5 territory.

I give this 3/5 only because Harry killed Dumbledore and shoved him down a cliff.

2.5/5 The writing was decent but rather slap-dash, and the spelling/grammar errors irritated me.
