I think xxxbloodywrists has these 4 tied up pretty good. I can't remember the name of the fic but from the 5 chapters or so I read i was horrible.

Good idea. Too bad that the absolutely worst fics were removed from the site; it'd be better if they were kept somewhere locked up, for historic reference's sake.

Anyway, here are few nominations from me:

Best Idea Gone Bad:

The Life Of St. Jimmy By Lady Lamia had a chance of being at least readable, if there weren't for goth emo crap.

Harry Potter and the Libido War by wicked wicked boy could tread the same road if it turns slash, like the last chapter indicated (I don't think it will though, but still...).

Most Idiotic:

Harry's Madness by Silverlocke980 - T
Now, there's dark!Harry and there's just... madness.

Worst Romance:

It's removed now, but the honour probably goes to that one Kinsfire's story. Eh, the memories. It's a shame that such an amusing flaming fest is gone for good.

Warst Gammer adn Spalling:

The only story I ever dropped because of unreadable grammar & spelling.

 

On a related issue. Do people write like this...

Do it because it is cool or because it is faster leaving out letters?

I have tried writing like that a few times to make fun of someone and find it very hard to not write correctly, or as correctly as I can since my spelling isn't the best I still try.

It seems that writing like that takes more effort than doing it correctly so I see no point in doing it unless you are texting (SMSing) someone and need to fit a lot of information into 160 characters. Even then I would usually send two messages.

 

Kids at my school type like that and they go faster than me, for essays and shit though with proper writing they seeem to type a lot faster.

 

I don't think I even want to look up this story. I'll have nightmares for weeks from just the title.

Typing and Reading "l33t" hurts. It takes a bit to figure out what means what.

 

Wasn't there a thread just like this a bit before where somebody wanted to reward bad stories? Or is that just me?

I think it was locked because people said that it wasn't worth the effort: Who wants to read a load of crap to find the worst crap inside the pile? Not me.

 

By that logic there should be no Razzies, which IMGO are the only honest award given in hollywood.

I pretty much agree with everyone else on My Immortal being the absolute worst winner in existence. If there were awards for stupidity he/she'd win an oscar (cause you can never be sure with these goffik emos).

Therefore My Immortal gets, in my humble opinion, most annoying OC, idiotic, romance & gammer awards.

 

Nah. My Immortal has got to be a parody- I don't think it's possible to write such shit in an attempt at good writing. After all, xxxbloodywrists was obviously capable of registering at FF.Net, which indicates some (if marginal) language skills.

Most likely, but my immortal, all i know about is that i stopped reading it because it was shit for some reason, there was one that i dont remember that had a chick rock up to harry's place and become a vamp, dudley kills him and he gets turned, then all the standard fangirl!Indie!harry bullshit comes out to play and the story is shit, but loved by so many

 

There are many fics that are shit but are loved by many, my guess is that most people on ff.net wont know a good fic from a bad fic if it got up and shat down their mouths.
