Anyone have any recommendations for fics that start either before Harry goes to school or the first year he goes?

It could be alternate sorting, alternate teachers, learns about magic early, etc. I suppose TT fics could count as well.

Harry Potter and the Boy Who Lived sounds iffy to me but I'll still check it once I get the chance

I'm alternating between Remus Lupin P.I. and Thief of Hogwarts right now but am always open for more.

 

You haven't read HP & the BWL? I didn't recc it because I thought everybody on DLP's read it, it's basically the best Twin-Who-Lived fic out there.

 

Ah no I haven't, Lily and James just have to die as a matter of principle in my opinion too many fics done in bad taste or worse poorly for me to look at twin fics.

 

Trust me, it's really good. Avoids all the really bad cliches.

Don't judge the entire genre by the trash that fills it. The Santi's fic is one of the extremely few good Twin Fics. Give it a try: it's worth it.

 

I never said I was judging it just that it was iffy, I mean it was recommended by Little Knee the other day I did say I'd read it eventually and I just realized Thief of Hogwarts hasn't been updated for over a year gonna stop reading it now XD.

Hmm... someone told me the wifi's going to be down here in the next hour or so. Anyone know of a way I can get a few chapters downloaded? I'm having to use my sister's iPad(eww) while I'm waiting for my droid to get fixed so no FF or autopager.

Ignore the link T3t posted, it sucks. Fanfictionloader is so bad that it doesn't even place the chapters from FF.net into ebook format, it just gives an ebook no better than using a bloody .txt file.

 

Lol, thanks for the better link. I'm going to admit I've never actually used FFLoader, but friends I showed it said it worked. I use a downloadable program (forget its name atm) and the formatting is pretty nice.
