Right, so basically they'd come from magic SCIENCE. I guess that works better than trying to shoehorn X-genes or whatever it is that Inhumans come from (I've barely even heard of them) into the MCU.

The Inhumans movie is in development and being pushed. Pietro if he gets popular will most likely be the outsider perspective since Princess Crystal Amaquelin of the Inhumans is his wife and mother of his child.

Huh, didn't know that. And what the hell? When did that happen with Loki?

The Other/Cthon was the guy warning Loki to not screw up. He was only there a few minutes so he's easy to miss. But he looks exactly like he did in the comics.

Chthon and the twins have been linked since forever. Strange has counted on Wanda's help several times when it comes to him. Because no one is more familar with him than her since she is his preferred vessel.

Wanda was meant to have an ordinary mutation. But the fact that she was born on Wundagore where Chton slept altered her powers immensely. This gave her the mutation to instinctively use his magic/chaos magic which is essentially a more powerful version of Longshot's (whose powers are also magical).

Neither of the twins look 18-19 at all. It's like Claire from Heroes all over again.

Claire was 15 in the pilot, and Panettiere was 16 when it aired.

She sure didn't look 16. I thought she was 20-something when I first saw her in the pilot. Also, she doesn't seem to have aged at all since then.

I'm guessing they were thinking "How can we have Tony Stark poke fun at this guy in the movie?"

    Solution:

    Give guy ridiculous hair.

If a sampling poll is what decides, then we're 100% guaranteed to see Spiderman in the next one.

Whedon wants Tigra in the MCU as soon as possible.

Hoping for Wonder Man because he, Wasp and Hank are all that are missing in the team when it comes to iconic avengers.

Pretty sure that Spider-Man franchise is owned by someone else, but he was an Avenger at one time so it's not out of the realm of possibility if they could make it happen -- but I doubt it.

I'm not talking about a random poll that one would throw out on the internet either. They'd narrow it down to people they (the studio) want to see (that will make maximum profit without shadowing their existing rainmakers) and then narrow it further by polling some prearranged focus groups, etc.

Before Ultimatum, Ultimate Universe handled mutants a lot better than 616. They were better integrated into the universe there wasn't some huge X vs the rest of Marvel divide. There were Government schools, The President had his own psychic division, the X-Men were becoming popular, ordinary people had discussions on what was considered a mutant, religions talked about what they meant, there was actual change and improvement. People would support their only mutant class mate. There was a rainbow of reactions to them. Anyone could be a mutant and everyone was aware this was a growing population that they had to slowly accept into the society. It wasn't as PC to be open about mutant hate. You could hate them yeah, but they had some protection by their government. But the fact that they're in 616 means they're all in their own asses about how persecuted they are, with everyone else in marvel being dicks because they don't give a fuck about them and recycle the same stories again and again and again.

Totally off topic (inasmuch as it doesn't discuss the Marvel CMU or Avengers 2):

I want to get into comics.

What would be the best starting points of the following:

    Iron Man (only seen movies)
X-Men (i have the most knowledge here, though mostly from cartoons. I have read no X-Men comics. My fave (dunno how X-Men purists feel about it) is X-Men evolution, FWIW
Captain America (only seen movie. seeing Winter Soldier on Sat.)
The Incredible Hulk (only seen most recent movie and the shit one with eric bana, god)
Thor (only seen Thor 1. gonna get to Thor 2 eventually)

The best way I found to jump into comics is just to head into a comic store and tell the guy behind the desk who you want to read about. My local guys have rarely been wrong.

That's what happened for me, actually. I read a fanfic that had Deadpool in it. I thought he sounded awesome, so I went looking for a comic. After devouring everything Deadpool related, I spring-boarded into other comics from there. Now I'm sitting here with a Green Lantern poster staring at me (HAL JORDAN IS A CREEPY MAN), with three bookshelves full of trades wondering what happened to my money.

    But some actual recommendations:
Captain America: The Winter Soldier arc was incredible.
Iron Man: The Extremis story is still great.
    Hulk: Planet Hulk is great.
Thor: Straczynski's run on Thor is one of my favorite things in comics.
X-Men: Not really sure. There's way too many X-Men related things to give you a good one of the top of my head. Some of my favorites were the Exiles (Which have pretty much nothing to do with the mainstream X-Men BTW), and Wolverine: Enemy of the State.

Meh. I like the cartoons, I like the movies. There's literally no downside in reading a comic, especially when it's free. Just never know where to start.
