NBC has to do what they have to do. If a show isn't drawing in the viewers, then cancelling it is the reasonable response. At least it looks like Awake will finish out the season and resolve its plots. That's more than some shows get.

 

I really couldnt see this lasting more than a single season anyway.

 

Was going to add this to my viewing schedule if it got a second season.

I actually haven't been bothering with a lot of first year shows unless it looks incredibly interesting because I hate cancellations.

They only have a single episode to tie everything up, there's only so much they can do. Plus the latest episode was pretty good, shame it took them so long to get there.

 

Just saw the series finale. It was awesome, easily the best hour of tv I've seen in a really long time. Although some parts felt rushed which could be attributed to the fact that it was meant to last more than one season.
The series showed the best characterization of a human villian, which was refreshing to see as most shows would just go the straight-up villian route, this I feel is one of the strongest point of the show. That and Jason Isaacs spectacular perfomance easily establishes this show as the best new show this season, its a shame nbc decided to cancel it.

The finale was great. It cements the idea that Life on Mars[UK] was a big inspiration for Awake, and the show is better for it.

I'm glad that we got a contained 13 episode story without dragging things out into another season. It wrapped well. I'd like to see the same creative team work on another story together.

 

I'm going to rewatch this when i have some time as i wasnt paying attention and the ending came out the blue. I must have missed a scene or 2.

It's depressing to know just how great season 2 would have been.

 

I wish Awake would go to a new network.

It's depressing how such an original and awesome idea can just not catch on.
