Because there's an area of more seriousness to it. It's pretty clearly a step outside of the joke-role "Prolly what I would do" rather than "What I will do". It's a serious recommendation, coached to be disguised by the earlier joking but not actually a part of it.

Not about who the seer will choose, but who they should. That's directing attention which I can see from a wolf who knows fonti's not a buddy. If you can line a check with a kill than it tells town nothing, obviously.
