    First paragraph of that story...
Yeah, not super interested. If you want to create a collection of stories like this, where Harry transports back time in when he is less than ten years old at the starting time (also, damn, specific -- at no point does this description touch on canon or post-canon years)... DLP probably isn't the place for it. FFNET has a bunch of groups for random shit like that though.

...and if that is your intention, then what you're really looking for is a listing of stories with this specific premise that don't suck. I don't know if there are any. There's a handful of decent stories that are pre-Hogwarts, but most of them don't involve pre-Hogwarts Harry travelling even further back in time.

At any rate, the story you linked is not "very good" in my opinion. I suspect most of DLP will agree with me.

I do not know of any stories that meet this criteria. The Dangerverse series of stories does involve Baby Harry and it's decent, but the main characters are adults. Maybe you'd enjoy the first in that series. There's another one that I can't remember the name of where Hogwarts-age Harry goes back in time to when his parents were at Hogwarts. It's also only 'decent' instead of good, but seems up your alley.

    Good luck.

Edit: Read a bit more of that story. Is it supposed to be crack!fic?

I'm sceptical there are actually any pre-Hogwarts stories where Harry is the main character in the library. Small children rarely make for interesting protagonists.

Even if the first story mentioned is crap the idea itself isn't.

Harry growing up in the 50's (or even further back) could be interesting, no doubt. Trouble is, this period is kinda vague in canon so fuck ups on more complex characters like Dumbledore, Tom Riddle or even Grindelwald are likely.

I guess. I'd still default to Harry being at least 11 when he travels back in time since Harry attending Hogwarts with Riddle seems more interesting than Baby!Harry growing up in the past before he's old enough for school.

Then again, if you used it as the premise instead of the main story with some timeskips...

The Killing Curse doesn't kill Harry, as in canon, but it causes a *bullshit plot point* that sends Baby!Harry back in time. He arrives and somehow this catches Dumbledore's attention. He investigates and determines the baby is from the future and had been hit by a Killing Curse. He then either decides to (1) raise the boy himself, (2) send him off to live with the current generation of Potters, or (3) whatever else. Dumbledore has reason to believe that Harry will one day either (1) 'snap back' into his own time or (2) be pivotal in events once they reach that point in time again.

That's chapter 1. Skip ahead ten years (or more) after that and just use it as Harry's backstory. That might work. Or else have Chapter 2 be individual scenes showing him growing up and skipping forward in time by a year or so each so that Chapter 2 ends with Harry old enough to act as a protagonist in his story.

But writing that wouldn't be easy. You're far enough from canon events that you'd need a solid author to make it not suck.

Hey! I know. Enter the Secret Santa contest (here) and ask for a story involving Baby!Harry.

You've missed the point of the idea, I think. These fics do not show Harry growing up, but rather focus entirely on him as a small child. They're sickly sweet "family fics" where Harry runs around acting like a 6 year old despite having the memories of an older person, filled with clichéd unfunny nonsense like pranks and bullshit emotional melodrama, because almost always Harry has some absurd "issues" he has to work through.
