Yes, but you played uber town in that game even as scum like more town then town. Like more town then you've ever been since. I blank out bad memories and stuff like that.

Newbie replacements are probably >50% scum. The number isn't as high as 90%, but it's something to take into consideration.

Don't know why Ves replaced out, but I'm sure you'll all realize how town I am before long.

    Good times. :p

Riley: Being more guarded with your thoughts than you usually are probably won't make me think you're town.

Sorry to see you go, Schro.

Citrus, I highly doubt you know the contents of the secret admirer-esque note I left you. So now I'm going to leave you a ton of them for attempting to divine the unknown.

Also why are all the people I want to talk to not posting? Is it me? Do I smell? Are you offended by how ugly yet proud I am?

I cant feel my legs >_<

    So fucking cold out.

    7. TerRaine - Town

    5. Lyrium - Town Lean; Started with typical questions...a bit of fluff and a bit of game mechanics...good mix. Taking bits and pieces of what players say and exageratting them to pressure and tunnel which is my experience with her townness.

I'm too far into the thread and am too lazy to go back and get the quote so I'll just say I think scum went with Penguin. Bane comes with too much time locked in to be more useful in gameplay than Penguin

    2. Snowvon - Vote Lyr, unvotes and says Lyr rolled town. While I agree I would like to hear why Snow thinks so too.

I'm enjoying the fluff as a fluffy Snow is a towny snow.

    Well that's dark o_o

See most find my demented insidious charming.....well some.....

    ....maybe like 3 people.

    3. Aekiel - answers Lyr; pressures Riley; Good analysis of roles in 71. Just still urging caution with someone who comes forward with a Bane Stalking claim. It can be faked.

    11. Atum - My respect has gone down for every refering to Nicholson as an imposter. On useful note; Answered Lyr. I liked that he presents the mass claim suggestion in pros and cons. So he's thinking through the scenarious instead of jumping on what's easier to manipulate. Seems townish.

    4. Citrus -
I would like to hear more about these bad reasons?

Brings up a good question regarding Clayface in light of all this massclaim chatter.

    9. Vesvius - Answer Lyr, makes a good point on batman beaing a hinder rather than a help sometimes. Null to miniscule town

    Vesvius Fainted!

    Kalas Sends out Rubicon!

....I am so fucking tired don't any judge me I found it funny.

Rubicon can I have some reads?

    8. Qgqqqqq - Null

    10. Nemrut - Null

...I found him funny as hell.

I...Uh....have a feeling this says a lot about me though.

Doesn't give much in his answer that hasn't already been said hence the null

    15. Zenzao - Nullish

    16. Fishy Justice - Null...need more stuff.

    17. Kento Kraitos - Liked his analysis in answering Lyr's questions. Did not like the counter vote on Citrus. Not big on counter vote without support.

Any reason why Kento or just fluff vote?

    12. His fluffiness -
I really hope not -_- In a game with these kind of intricate roles with no one being vanilla...no one in town should be skimming so they can pick up hints and figure out who their teammates are

You don't think town has interactions to keep track of? All of our roles are pretty much info based and you need to have SOME idea who what to look for in your teammates so you dont waste info gathering on non scum.

    13. Quanksor - Vote Fluff after he voted him; answers Lyr; laments Riddler preventing us from Massclaim. Says we have 2 weeks to pick at random but that's a lot of time to scum hunt...it really shouldn't be all that random if we are actively pressuring and scumhunting.

He keeps saying Massclaiming is a mistake but hinting at support to it by bringing up scenarios.

This stuck out to me. Oracle from what I can see can only protect one person. They wouldnt be able to protect someone each night. At most they'd get one go if they dont protect their own ass before theyre picked off to remove town's protection.

You seem to vote in response to people voting you a lot. It's jumpy and off putting.

    6. Sloth - DO. MORE. STUFF.

Don't like this. It's fine if you didn't read it before the game started but it has now....and we have direct questions. Go back and read it.

Why is Riley probably Town Sloth?

I see a very boring rainbow but no support. Fix that.

I don't like this either. Ignores Riddler's Night actions and sheer common sense. Already bought that up though.

    14. Schrodinger -

This was kinda a fluff answer since it was essentially disapointment in having the villains reduces

Said it before saying it now. This was a scummy question.

Oh damn now I gotta learn about another person XP

    1. Riley - ...your answers to Lyr sucked. It's not about trusting Kalas. It's about figuring out where Scum's weaknesses lie to attack them and where our weaknesses lie to gird our loins.

Gets a lil snippy and defensive when its pointing out he's messing up a roll name.

Goes on to name fonti as a player to worry about as scum.

    Fonti.

The person who bowed out and he replaced.

    Vote Riley

    Why Lyrium is town:

Usual breezy attitude, questions, casual, no sense of "please don't notice me" that usually accompanies scum!Lyrium.

It's not so much as the quality of the questions asked here -- more so that she's interacting with everybody. All eyes are on her.

Detailed thoughts on players. Still consistent with her town!attiude. Her townitude.

blah blah blah this is the part where you two butt heads, there isn't anything here to suggest scum!Lyrium at all. Everything she posts bleeds her sweet, beautiful towntells that we all know and love. Unless there's something I'm not seeing here?

I probably didn't even really need to make this post, Lyrium is so town I'm surprised the rest of us haven't spontaneously been assimilated into the scumteam.

    And so I'm wondering
why it took Citrus so long to get with the program, since he's better than me in every conceivable way or something. Also, Citrus, did you actually get anything about prodding me over my deepest darkest secrets re: murder?

Still waiting on a few other ducklings to Tell Me I'm Pretty.

Rubicon the Formidable, when you say you're town, do you really mean that or is it just the first of many layers upon layers of deception and heartbreak? Like I can't not be suspicious of you for at least the first thirty pages or so unless you save the world or something equally heroic and valiant for all of town to see.

@Snowvon: Not ignoring you, just other stuff. I thiught something about one of your earlier posts was off so I asked Lyr because I thougt she could read you better. Her response to the question vs. her read for you seems inconsistent though which is definitely suspicious.

@Lyrium: when did you start to town-read Snow?

    Oh and hey Rubicon.

Do you mean the atla Avatar, another avatar or my avatar? Because it is entirely reasonable to worship the latter. =P

Nightwing has the potential to detect two scum at the same time, if I read this correctly. Killer Croc, for example, who devours someone, and the person who was sent for the kill, if scum plays it that way. Nightwing would get information on both those visits, right? So, that is pretty powerful knowledge, but they have to read the game well to anticipate the likely targets, but then again, everyone needs to do that.

Red Robin, I'm actually not sure. I guess he is good for clayface but since he doesn't get scum or town read, the person might be either one. Still, the more information the better and it can be put to good use later in the game. At least he and Nightwing can't do harm to town.

Either way, both of these players should use their abilities as often as they can and try to gather information from the players they suspect to either be scum or to be in danger by scum. Not exactly a master strategy, a bit of a captain obvious thing but that's all I got.

Guess the most obvious BG use would be to always switch the town read whom one perceives to b e in danger with ones highest scum read, but that’s carrying its own risks with backfiring horribly.

Same with Black Canary, really, use it on the person one suspects to be the next target but it can clash with other abilities, so, who knows. If one considers every worst possible what if, one might not play at all and that's silly.

@TerRaine: I already responded to that. Try harder to fluffpost please.

@Rubicon: Welcome and thank you for already posting more than Ves was able to. I was starting to wonder actually.

@Anyone: I'm not guarding my thoughts. If you ask me a question I will answer, never said I wouldn't. I'm not being defensive, I'm being careful. Last time I proposed Ideas and Pointed fingers without asking, Scum took advantage of it and screwed me over. (Look at B&T).

    @Lyr: You opinions are noted.

    @Sloth: Where's the readwalls man?

Yes you did. I don't think it was enough since you're replacing the very person you're talking about being a threat right after not knowing roll names. Stop being so defensive every time someone points out your errors and scum hunt more.

    What are your reads?

I think Lyr is frustrated and Ter is feeding it a little bit. However, I am leaning towards Lyr as Town in this back and forth. Mostly due to Lyr seeming to be realistically frustrated. That and Ter's current bulletin point about my "defensiveness" and the mistake I made with Fonti's name. The second of which was already pointed out and responded to, by yourself and me.

Highest on my scum list is Probably Sloth, Fishy Justice and Kentos, mostly for being so quiet. We have a full 1 and some days left, they don't have to post often, but they should be posting more than they are. Most of my D1 lists will be based on posting numbers.

I would make a Batman reference but it's been years since I watched the cartoon and I only remember Harley Quinn/Poison Ivy as characters (beyond Batman/Alfred, of course).

@Aekiel: Qqqqqqq and Snowvon would be the ones leaning Scum for me so far. Passable but bland responses and sporadic shots at others. I haven't played with Q though so might be off.

Ter isn't neccessarily Scum in my mind but definitely not moving from Neutral yet.

The fact that this needed to be said in response to a question. The big "Look at me being town" sign. Too big.

Played more than just Witchhunt with me if I remember correctly, therefore should have a better grasp than stated. This is a sidetrack similar to what I previously mentioned about what Scum try to do with my words.

That's enough to enter my list.

    Not the Riddler.

Scummates are a bit harder for me to define. Mainly because it's so early. I could offer instead who I wouldn't want Snow's scummates to be. That'd be a toss up between Lyr/You and Ter/Sloth. Either of those pairings would be terrifying with Snow really.

I'll try to see if I can resolve the Scummates issue but honestly, with more than a week left and very little solid evidence, I'm not going to be able to promise much. Once we have a lynch/night phase, it'll be easier to see the connections and what not.

Question for you: What's your take on this:

Do you think Ter understood what I was getting at?

    My original post for reference:

Riley, what other games have we played together? My first game here was Spirit Tunnels, then Werewolf, CYS, and a bunch of filler games in between. You modded Werewolf, but aside from WitchHunt, I don't think we've had any other games together?

Doesn't help, really. As useful as threat ratings are, I only use them for judging who scum are likely to go for and I don't have a scumread on you. I'd suggest putting more thought into your scumreads, perhaps going through a given player's posts (like Snowvon's) in detail would be beneficial to you. Evidence is key in this game so if you can find a link between one of your scumreads and another, that's the start of forming a case against them.

Also, you're completely wrong about Snowvon.

I think I'd have to understand what you were getting at first. Analysis of the mechanics is a fundamental part of Mafia and this ruleset was fairly new so it made sense to inspect the interactions and see if we could work a way to spot scum easier.

Also, your responses were pretty poor in the first place. Giving poor answers is always better than giving no answers because it puts your thoughts out there for the rest of us to go over. Even if you're completely wrong in your assessments (assuming you're town, of course) it gives us an insight into how you think, which helps us work out whether you're town or scum.

Only scum want to say as little as possible.
