@Schro: I agree, somewhat. It's def a function of the times. I remember some games where the multiplayer was an afterthought or I'd say to myself "Damn, it'd be sweet if 2UP could jump in and rock out!"

It's gone so far the other way now, though, that it seems like the singleplayer narrative experience is either rubbish or so laden down with cutscenes and infogasms *coughcoughMetalGearSolidcough* as to be more of a movie. Some people like that, I just wanna play the damn game!
don't get me wrong, I lurve me some tactical espionage action:metal gear solid.

 

I don't really care about the multiplayer, so long as the single-player remains top notch. And if it's online only multiplayer then I'll never touch it. Still, been excited about this ever since it was announced, and those shots are overburdened with :awesome

 

I'm terrified of this Multiplayer int Batman sequel. How will it be done? One Batman against five other Bat-men? Or Batman, Catwoman and five others characters loose in a map?
I don't think it will be good or at least, it will be extremely hard to make good.

There are some games that are not meant for multiplayer. Take Assassin's Creed for example. The multiplayer trailers are shit. Its fucking medics going against clerk and bankers.
Some games are not meant for MUltiplayers. I think Batman: Arkham Asylum (or the sequel) is one of those games.

 

Amen. Maybe this is how they believably get Robin/Nightwing into the game?

Either way, the new screenshots look great!

 

A cooperative Challenge Mode could be fun. Batman and Robin/Nightwing/Catwoman/Huntress/whoever vs. a few dozen thugs.

I loved the shit out of the first game but in all honesty my hopes plummeted like a rocket when I saw "multiplayer focus." That never ends well ever. In almost every example I've seen where they suddenly throw in multiplayer the writing and single player experience gets drop kicked in the balls for it. I'd happily shit can the entirety of the multiplayer for this if it meant letting them focus on the single player campaign alone in a game. If you want to do multiplayer in shooters/fighters etc. etc. etc. that's fine but games along this vein usually fail spectacularly when multiplayer is added.

 

I'll get it if only because its going to be the last time the Animated Series crew is going to ever work together. ;-;

Hamill said this is the last time he's ever gonna voice the Joker. This is a saddening event.

 

Fucked up that Luke Skywalker does an awesome Joker huh? And that Version you linked Vash was the absolute best animated Batman run ever.

Yeah, it is. I was surprised as hell when I found out he did it... And fucking damn well, too. But yes, The Animated Series was fucking awesome as hell. Kind of sad they don't play it on Cartoon Network anymore.

I'm also infinitely disappointed Hamill and Conroy are willingly working with that damned The Brave and the Bold cartoon. :|

Hopefully it'll be good regardless but my hopes aren't exactly high.

 

Looks fairly awesome so far as purely cinematic trailers go. I'm still kind of looking forward to it. They did fairly awesome with AA... This could be just as win.
