No, it's all on the disc already as far as I can see. It's primarily an anti-pirating measure, I think, plus actually trying to make some money off second hand purchases. Certainly as far as the first goes, I can kind of see the reasoning (although I think the method employed for Arkham Asylum, with a pre-programmed bug that just broke the game at a certain point if it was pirated, was far better), and if you're going to have DLC you might as well do it that way, but it still bugs me.
