Just saw it. Was a very fun movie, albeit not quite what I expected. Says a lot that the climax involves things going so balls-out insane that even the Joker thinks its going too far.

Just saw it. It's kind of absurd and runs completely on rule of cool - definitely a "turn your brain off" watch.

Definitely. It requires a lot of suspension of disbelief and it's one ridiculously over the top scene after the other.

Only seen the half of it so far, and it's a hell of a lot more entertaining and less disappointing than The Killing Joke.

I can see how the visuals/artwork are polarising, but I like all the pretty colours.

I wouldn't say it's turn your brain off so much as adjusting your mindset to to be okay with things that are completely over-the-top insane. It's all about being in the right mindset.

Also, while the visuals were mostly pretty good, I did find one of two of the decisions a bit distracting. I know Damien's haircut or Red Hood's helmet are both pretty accurate to Sengoku-era Japan, but they just look a bit too weird to me.

This is Netflix now and I just finished it. Would highly recommend it to anyone that still hasn't. You can definitely tell it's by the same guy as Gurren Lagann, they lean into all the tropes so hard and somehow make it work just fine. Definitely need to abandon all semblance of logic, but as long as you accept that the world works on Rule of Cool then you'll have a blast.
The moment when a giant monkey made out of tiny monkeys merged with a giant bat made out of tiny bats to make a giant Batman made me pause it and message all my closest friends demanding they watch it. That scene was just beautiful.
