Hyped as fuck and cannot wait. I never give a shit about spoilers personally, but don't watch if you want to go into the film with a modicum of innocence.

But goddamn am I hyped.

 

That was a beautiful trailer.

 

I love everything about this trailer. Yes, it spoils a lot and yes, it more or less tells us how the movie's plot is going to go, but that doesn't fucking matter. I am so hyped right now.

An interesting (read: awesome) Luthor characterization? Sign me the fuck up. Conflict of ideas with hypocrisy on both sides of so called 'heroes'? Get me a ticket now. A Superman villain that isn't Luthor or Zod and co? It must be fucking Christmas.

 

Two trailers in and I'm still undecided about whether I want to spend money on this.

I wanted to slap Luthor within three lines; I'm not sure I can take a whole film of him.

Doomsday looks like the Abomination from the last Hulk film. Not impressed.

Basically, I'm expecting some decent set pieces and not a lot else.

To be fair I'd say that the abomination looks like Doomsday with a bit more muscle which is what you'd expect since they seem to be doing the Frankenstein thing with Sod.

What I mean is that, going off an admittedly quick watch of the trailer on my phone, Doomsday looks similar in quality to the last Hulk film, which was...eight years ago?

 

The quality looked fine to me. The issue isn't with the technical side of making the villain happen, it's on the plot side. We know the studio has the know-how and money to make the show impressive. The plot is the one in potential question.

 

I like how they're kind of channeling the old, Gene Hackman version of Luthor for this - total nostalgia bomb. Personally, I thought it was great, and my nerd boner could drive railroad spikes right now.

 

Was that a joke at the end of the trailer? Who allowed that?

Things I liked about it:
- Clark Kent v. Bruce Wayne - they probably showed all of what will be in the movie, but it was nice,
- Batman and Wonder Woman's costumes - they are really, really good.

Things I'm meh about:
- Lex Luthor - he sort of works in contrast to Clark and Bruce, but it's going to be annoying really fast. And I really wanted a completely serious Lex on the big screen.
- Superman's costume - something is off about it.

- Doomsday - he's too generic in my opinion. Even bigger bones would allow him to stand more apart from other CGI monsters.

 

Am still meh on the whole movie idea. Too many new people they are trying to shoehorn into this.

Trailer was decent, and I am going to see this with a few buddies but am not exactly hyped for it.

 

To be honest, I've got a sneaking suspicion that everything we've seen so far is like the first half of the film. I don't know why I feel like this, but I do. Like that Doomsday shot was climax of the first half of the film.

 

Batfleck is great. Got a real presence in scenes. He captures Bruce's wit rather well. Still confused about the desert scene. Rumours have it that it's a dream sequence.

 

Affleck has really impressed me. Until him, I don't think any of Batman's various actors have managed to just nail a very important but often overlooked aspect of the Batman mythos.

I am, of course, talking about the Batglare. Affleck's glaring powers are superb.

 

Damn, I'm fucking hyped too. Pity that another city (Gotham?) will get wrecked by a super powered fight, and it makes me curious how long will be that movie, there is a lot they could milk from those scenes, I just hope they don't rush anything.

Edit: You nailed it about the Batglare, damn if I were Clark I would be flying to another fucking planet. Hope that Affleck does prove all the haters wrong, at least from the traillers he is doing a pretty solid impression of Batman,

 

Wow, that really is spoilers.

That, to me, seems like the entire film up to the final villain fight. It'll just finish after whatever happens there.

Still, I do want to see it. I won't judge the CGI yet: some of it did look quite poor, but there's so much time left that I'd expect it to get a fair bit better before release.

 

I hope Zod isn't actually Doomsday but a precursor to the real Doomsday virus that is created from him.

 

Having watched the trailer again on a decent sized screen, I will concede that the spoiler villain does look better animated than I had originally thought. I still think the design is shit, but that's a separate and far more subjective point, so never mind.

If anyone took the very wise advice here about not watching the latest trailer, someone made a fixed version from it which is far, far superior and safe to watch.
