If any film has anything less than really positive early "reviews", its marketing team should be fired immediately. But there better be some truth in info that Wonder Woman is simply awesome in the movie or there will be blood. ;)

I want to believe it's awesome, but I know people who thought MoS was awesome and it bored me to tears. Will belive it when I see it. There are things I'm comfortable getting on the hype train for. This isn't one of them. I remain firmly skeptical for now.

Early reviews say WW is awesome and her first appearance had everyone cheering

Sounding promising. Debating wether to go on Friday or hold off till Sunday evening.

It's supposedly 70/30 Batman centric. This... Isn't what I was hoping for.

Based on the reviews I've read, I'm moving from undecided to probably not going to bother.

I've been sceptical about this movie from the moment I heard it was supposed to be a new Batman, a Man of Steel sequel and a Justice League launchpad all in one film. It reeked of trying to catch up with The Avengers without doing all the legwork Marvel did of setting up the characters first. Unfortunately it looks like those fears have been borne out.

Here is a round-up of all the reviews of major (UK) publications. The conclusion is rather negative, with a particular focus of criticism being an incoherent structure. Which is not surprising at all, given that they're trying to achieve so many different things in a single movie.

Will probably go see 10 Cloverfield Lane instead.

It'll be interesting to see what the box office ends up being and how it'll compare to Suicide Squad and Cap 3.

I'll go see it regardless of the bad reviews simply because it's Superman and Batman. On the same screen. At the same God damned time.

I've seen that Guardian review listed as a positive review in a couple of places, and can't help but feel that if a review that sums the film up with "Job done, just about" is a positive one, then the film is in a bad way.

Wonder woman was pretty awesome and probably one of my favourite things about the movie. Nobody in particular was bad, really, and the movie itself was definitely worth a watch, but it didn't really blow me away. Not even a bit.

Enough to warrant a sequel, which I hope will be better.

All the bad reviews are a good thing, from my personal moviegoer perspective. They've lowered my expectations for the film to 'just another dumb action movie'. Thus, I cannot at this point come away disappointed.

The gist seems to be "Ben Affleck is amazing, plot structure is meh, WW is awesome, Cavill puts in a decent job as Supes". Basically they've just managed to lay the grounds for JL and now need a solo Batman movie to bolster themselves as credible movies.

Thank fuck we have a comic book style Batman for the new generation. I hated Bale's Batman.

Actually the (agreggate) score seems pretty low and it keeps falling slowly.

I expect this to be utter garbage, seeing it in about... 28 hours, and if I weren't pushed into this by my best friend I wouldn't be seeing it. As things stand we're walking there so it looks like I'll be knocking a few drinks back to prepare.

This movie is not worth your money, just got draged by friends to watch it and it's completley average Superhero movie nothing unique or exciting.

Ben Affleck was good but his perfomance was nothing special, Cavill was decent as was Wonder Woman don't know were the awesome reactions are coming from she certainly didn't have any special moment. Who really ticked me off was Jesse Eisenberg, Lex Luthor was a totally crazy cartoon villain with some cringe worthy moments, terrible casting choice.

Movie is your typical Synder sytle over substance approach which could rival a Transformers in the explosion department, have zero hope for Justice League turning out good with Synder. Everyone who watched the trailer basically saw the whole movie anyway.

I think Bale did okay as Batman, but I'm psyched for this movies version. I feel like we're gonna see an accurate portrayal of who Batman is.

The previous batman movies played up his gadgets and fighting ability, but rarely his intelligence. Which...it's his intelligence that sets him able to fight on the level of Gods.

When I was young watching Batman: the Animated Series, I knew Batman for the more silver age aspects of his character. I loved the detective feel with the reliance on a mix of brains and brawn: balance, essentially.

I knew they were using the modern era of comics to write Bale's Batman. The darker, grittier tone is great for a solo career on the big screen - it parallels what happened in the comics. That being said, it doesn't at all make for a Justice League style Batman. He's far too chaotic, far too unbalanced, and in many ways hits some anti-hero elements. That grittiness... I totally understand why some would hate Bale's Batman. I'm definitely glad they are changing the tone of his character with this movie. Even if they don't do the best job, we need to expect something other than KnightSaga Batman when we watch a JL movie.

Also, they never built him as the genius he should have been in the Dark Knight trilogy. Lucius Fox essentially did all of the intelligence gathering and equipment creation. Wayne just warped existing equipment to look like bat equipment. I hated that.

Affleck was good, and the most believable Bruce Wayne we've had yet in my opinion. As Batman, he's ok, but the writing here had a very shit part. He kills people. Frequently. The whole point of batman, and they ignore it. Not even mentioned.

Jesse on the other hand was terrible. Like seriously, he felt like he was going for the Joker but more tame and failed.

The plot is driven by a question asked by both Bruce and Luthor... and it is never answered. Seriously, the movie never answers the entire reason that superman is a divisive figure.

Everything else was varying shades of bad. Nothing outright shit but ranging somewhere between eh and bad. The characterisation is poor, both the plot and it's progression are downright bad, Wonder Woman was eh (mostly uninteresting unfortunately, but her score was good), Cavill was ok, although I wasn't captivated by him, the CGI was poor, ext.

Go see it if you really want to see superman and batman on the same screen at the same time. If you have any other reason to go see it, you probably shouldn't.
