Nothing wrong with that but personally if they decided to use Cranston I think he'd be much more suited to play the Smallville style version of Lionel Luthor. A brutal and ruthless self made business man who clawed his way up from nothing and hides under a veneer of civility of sophistication. It would fit better with Eisenberg as Lex to me as well, having Lex start as more of a normal person but as he grows up his father through his own fucking warped version of parenting and making sure his son can carry on the Luthor name without him gradually turns his life into an endless series of tests and challenges that gradually mold Lex into the cold blooded but brilliant villain he's supposed to be.

Not sure I see Craston's Walt similar to Lionel Luthor: They have their similarities, but from I remember of Lionel (and admittedly, I didn't watch the series a lot), he was either impossible to faze, forever smooth and cool under pressure...or he was begging and being somewhat pathetic and vulnerable (this one towards the GoodGuy!Lionel of the later seasons).
Walt had a short fuse and was prone to grinding teeth and very projected fury. If Lionel ever got punch-a-wall pissed, I don't recall it ever being shown.

Bleh, Smallville. They should forget about any version of Luthor that knew Clark before they were adults. It's always been stupid how they have to come up with some bullshit reason for Lex to not know who Clark is in those scenarios. The Post-Crisis origin where he grew up in the slums of Metropolis and climbed from there is better. Plus he was older than Clark in that rendition.

I'd usually agree, and given that show's writing issues, I really want to...but Smallville's Lex was one of my favorite depictions of him, and easily the best part of the show. It's why I stuck it out for as long as I did.
I'm sure however they made him forget about Clark (if he ever found out) is insultingly stupid, but I still enjoyed the ride.

(Side note: Lex was also older than Clark in Smallville. Around 9 years or so?)

iirc They went with amnesia caused by a neurotoxin for Lex so it was basically just a reboot for the Lex/Clark relationship. Kinda lame after 10 seasons of build-up between the two characters they just wiped the slate clean. He was an awesome Lex though imo.

Lex is technically a clone of the original Lex with his memories last I checked. The guy you liked died when I think GA or Lana killed him. So that plus the neurotoxin means that Supervillain Lex is pretty much a completely different guy than the one Clark saved. It`s very weird and stupid.

The Smallville Season 11 comic OTOH is the best comic DC is putting out by a landslide.

If they are already putting everyone in that movie, just give me Jonah Hill as Bane and I'll go see it in a theater.

Honestly, I can't wait to see it. There will be much lols and gnashing of teeth. :awesome

I never really said what I thought of it, aside from the Affleck thing, but I'm actualyl fairly positive about it. I'm not going into it expecting a particularly good film, just an entertaining one. And I'm pretty sure it will be.
I hope Clark turns back to primary colors though, that outfit of his seemed far too emo. I guess that phase strikes Kryptonians at a later age.

Why would they go with Stewart instead of Jordan? Fuck that.

Plus the last time we tried Jordan we got Ryan Reynolds' Apparent Cluster of F**ks.
I've never heard so much hatred for a movie I had never even cared to see.

If they make Justice League movie with any Lantern other than Jordan, I am not paying money to go see it.

Because for most kids born since 1990, John Stewart is the Green Lantern.

Could be worse. They could have chosen Gardner.
