You're shitting me, people actually think Watson is a good actress? Please, she sucks at acting, at least in the first 2 movies. She's gotten better in the last two, but that's not saying much, compared to the acting talents on the cast.

    Well...I don't think she's strictly good...

Watson annoys me on camera, as does canon Hermione...so she fits, I guess.

That's true, first two, she's not even worth mentioning.

4 she's bad, but I was REALLY impressed by her in the third movie. 4th she was okay (best of the trio), but I honestly am putting her down only for the merits of the third movie. Everything else, I'm pretty neutral regarding her character portrayal.

i can't tell if watson is a bad actress, or if her acting comes on as too forceful and over-the-top only because the people she's acting with suck balls (grinch and heathcliffe)

I'd have to say that it's a little from column A, and a little from column B. She's an average actress, with the odd moment of half-way good, while her co-stars aren't quite all up to scratch. Don't get me wrong, it could have much worse, they originally wanted the kid from The Sixth Sense to play Harry, this was back when Spielberg was slated to direct the first movie, and it was all going to be Americanized. Now there are just some thing that you do not do. You do not take what is supposed to be a British story, and throw it into Anytown, USA. I have nothing against Americans, some of my family are Americans (in fact, I almost lost a cousin during the 9-11 attacks, thankfully she was at school at the time), but the same thing happened to Roald Dahl's work, and look what happened to it.

Alan Rickman as Snape is good, also Jason Isaacs is good - I saw him in a play a few months ago.

While i'd admit that she's a great actor, she's still better than the other actor of the golden trio.

In that thing you call a closet. Better watch out,
She's not an amazing actor, but compared yes shes amazing. The new person they found for Dumble's really butcherd the acting hell the director did too. In the third movie he does wandless magic lighting the candle and unlighting it with a wave of his hand. I can't wait to see him die in the 6th movie.

If it had been Richard Harris I would have probably *dare I say* shed a tear :( but under this new fucker I"ll probably laugh  and piss off my "friends"

The director of 1 & 2 was the best and most detailed IMO 3rd was shit on a stick, 4th I haven't seen Im assuming it was shittily directed

Don't see it it's not worth the time. Richard Harris will always be Dumbledore to me, Emma she's a good hermi and who ever it is that plays snape not to forget *don't know her real name* but she is the perfect Prof. Minni

Michael Gambon's a great actor, he just isn't as good as Richard Harris. I mean Harris had the looks of Dumbledore, it was exactly how I imagined him. I admit his death almost stopped me going to see 3rd & 4th - nothing without him. There's bitter irony for you eh?

Rickman's brilliantly acidic as Snape, it's hard to distinguish between the two and likewise Jason Isaacs is superbly cold. Whoever cast the kids should get their ass fired.

All the films have been horrendously directed. The fourth one has the best fluidity and cinematography but compared to the book it's the worst one probably.

I quite adored the gentleman who played mad eye. I cant remember his name, but i know h's an effing great actor. I also think Jason Isaacs is wonderful, he plays the bad guy amazingly well. But frankly, I must admit to worshipping the ground Ralph Fiennes walks on. He plays Voldemort pretty much as I imagined he would truly be, quite charming, slightly manic, and even makes the weird snakey effect quite attractive, if only he had a nose.

Seriously, the first two's director was the best? argh! they were like Harry potter in Disneyland. The sets were too shiny, the acting from the kids was just utter shite, nononono. Mind you, none of the films are amazing, although i liked the third.

I disagree with that a hair, Neville was pretty much the goof I expected after watching the movies a bit lately thanks to my freaking mom getting my kids GoF. And I can't picture Draco as anyone else, Teflon's great in the role.

Dan and the rest of the lot should all go burn in Hell.

I'll add in the Twins as well, perfect casting, pathetic underuse of characters

the first 2 were better than the latest 2, I am awaiting with baited breath to see how badly they masticate OotP, my personal favourite of the series so far.

Richard Harris - Aye, I always miss him as Dumbledore when I see PoA and GoF. An excellent actor, and he fit the part perfectly.

Rickman - Yeah, he is an excellent actor, I just have found that the scene is GoF in the study hall thing, were Harry and Ron keep talking and he shuts them up by oushing their heads toward the books. Either he should have shouted at them or he should have bashed their heads, not made look like he was just turning their heads.

Coltrian (sp) - best actor for the part, he des it well, I jsut don't personally like him overly much.

Radcliffe - he wasn't actually too bad in the first film, but he went downhill from there.

    Grint - UGH!!!

Watson - meh, not good but not bad

Maggie Smith - best casting except Harris. She fits perfectly and brings the character to life rather than just saying the lines.

Guy who plays Longbottom - to tell the truth, I thought they changed the actor between the 2nd and 3rd films. They look totally different, mind you I thought the same about draco between those 2 films.

While Richard Harris played the Old Wise Headmaster role perfectly, could you imagine him as the "The Only One He Ever Feared?"

Harris could never do the duel between Dumbledore and Voldemort.

Gambon is more the nitty-gritty Dumbledore in OOTP, however, his script was horrible in GoF. Dumbledore was way too flustered in the GoF movie.

Dumbledore must always stay calm. Gambon has him fidgeting. FIDGETING!

Radcliffe just blows. His hair isn't even black, and hsi face is just out of proportion. Its not male, but not female either. It's hard to explain. His lower face is much to feminine.

Everyone hates Grint, but he plays Ron perfectly...utterly cluess and Gryffindor. Don't mix your hate of Ron with the actor.

I don't see why everyone loves Watson. I personally don't think she looks very well at all. Plus, she's not annoying enough. Her best act was in the first movie - annoying, bushy haired, anti-social, and tomboyish. I will always see her in that regard.

Hagrid was exactly as I foresaw him.

Lucius, whoever plays him, plays him wonderfully. Felton and him go together very well as father and son.

Rickman acts well, but he doesn't look very much liek snape. He's not oil, skinny, or pale. But his sneers, glares, and thwacks to the head are well done.

Jason Isaacs. He didn't die, he gave Luscius a reason to live, and he's the genius behind the long hair/pimp cane idea. How on earth could that be topped, I ask you?!
