My only favorite scene was...

1) Dumbledore vs. Voldemort in the MoM.

 

Definitely Dumbledore and Voldemort at the MoM. The scene is the only one that actually impressed me with the magic in the HP world.

I liked the Third Task as well in GoF. You know back in the day where Harry actually worried for his life and practiced to get better.

 

1) Harry casting his first unforgivable on Bellatrix. (OP)
2) Ron Accioing the brains. (OP) - This just cracked me up .
3) Dumbledore's death. (HBP)
4) Voldemort's rebirth. (GoF)
5) The fight with the inferi in the fake horcrux cave. (HBP)
6) Driving off the dementors. (PoA)
7) Igor Karkaroff's trial in the pensieve. (GoF)

Can't be arsed to think of any more, but I wasn't a fan of the first task in GoF... I blame Syao for that. Burn Baby Burn's put my expectations to a new level .

My absolute favorite is Dumbledore's escape from Hogwarts in the fifth book.

"I'm afraid that I won't, ah, what do they call it, come quietly," Dumbledore said, smiling.

The cheeky, bold characterization coupled with Dumbledore forcing his way out of his own office is just pure win.

 

1) the Shrieking Shack scene (POA)

2) Getting to the Sorcerer's Stone (SS)

3) the first TriWizard task (GOF)

4) Horcrux scene in the cave (HBP)

5) Afterdeath meeting w/Dumbledore (DH- what I felt was the climax of the series)

 

1. Voldemort's resurrection- The entire thing was brilliant. The speech by Voldemort to his Death Eaters then the unexpected brother wand connection. Then the reappearance of Lily and James and Harry's escape.

2. Harry chasing Bellatrix Lestrange and then using Crucio on her was brilliant he finally reacted and showed he does have balls. The only drawback he couldn't do it successfully.

3. The Dumbledore vs. Voldemort duel- It was the first time Rowling showed the power the two had and also the tangible hate they possessed for each other.

4. Driving away more than 100 Dementors with his Patronus it was the first time Harry displayed some extraordinary skills.

5. Harry walking into death- He comes to terms with the fact he has to die and walks into it. On the way there talking to his parents is also quite emotional.

6. Harry's confrontation with Narcissa in Madame Malkin's

7. Dumbledore's escape from his office and the way he does it is perfect.

8. The scene in the Shrieking Shack and Sirius' escape.

9. Fred & George's leaving Hogwarts.

10. Bellatrix proclaiming that Voldemort would return and he would reward her the most because she was loyal to him.

Initially I thought my #1 would be the duel between Harry and Voldemort. I mean the end of the series would have to be with a great duel in which Harry finally beats Voldemort after one of the fiercest duels ever seen. Instead we get the shitty Avada Kedavra backfiring.

 

I. The chase through the DoM between the Death Eaters and Harry, Ron, Hermione, Neville, Luna and Ginny was brilliant. (The movie didn't do it justice)
II. Harry chasing after Snape and Malfoy after Dumbledore was killed.
III. The Second Battle of Hogwarts.
IV. The duels between the Order members and the Death Eaters in DoM, including Sirius's death
V. The duel between Dumbledore and Voldemort in the atrium of the Ministry.
VI. Harry walking into the forest to face his death.
VII. The Aerial Battle at the beginning of DH.
VIII. Voldemort's resurrection and his duel with Harry.
IX. The third task and the battle through the Maze.
X. Harry watching Snapes memories. Mostly due to the fact that somehow Harry wasn't angry at Dumbledore, when I wanted to punch the old shit in the face.

 

My absolute favourite? When Moaning Myrtle turned up in the bath in GoF and confessed that she spied on the Prefects in the bath.

 

1: Dumbledore's death
2: Sirius telling Harry the real traitor
3: Granger, Harry and Ron knocking out Snape in PoA (Shrieking Shack), the cockmuncher deserved it.
4: Dumbledore/Voldemort MoM fight.
5: Fred/George Leaving Hogwarts.
6: Harry/Voldemort fight in GoF.
7: Harry chasing Bellatrix yelling about killing her.
8: Harry/Riddle fight in CoS

Thats all I could think of...

 

My favourite scenes are as follows: (In no specific order)

Voldemorts rebirth.

Dumbledore's death.

Harry and Ron meet Aragog for the first time.

Harry kills the young Tom Riddle and snake.

The whole fight in the Ministry Of Magic including the death of Sirius and the Dumbledore and Voldemort fight

The fight for Hogwarts in book 7, apart from Molly killing Bellatrix - I mean come on Molly "baby machine" Weasley killing 1 of the most wanted death eaters alone.

Harry nearly kills Malfoy in the girls bathroom

 

Top five.

1) Voldemorts rebirth in GOF.

2) Dumbledore's death in HBP.

3) Shirking Shack and the driving off of the Dementors in POA.

4) Fred and Georges pranks and leaving scene in OOTP.

5) Harry vs. Bellatrix scene in OOTP.

 

Top 5:
1) CoS confrontation (CoS)
2) Voldemort vs. Dumbles MoM
3) ressurrection Scene (GoF)
4) 1st Task (GoF)
5) Patronus Scene (PoA)

Those are the Scenes i enjoyed most. The only Scene i find worthy of any Top list in the last two books is HBP after Dumbles has drunk the potion (from fighting off the inferi until his death).

 

Deathly Hallows had just come out and if someones favorite scene contained a spoiler then it would have belonged in this thread.
