And as an unapologetic Lily/Snape fan, that would piss me off to no end if we saw that. Talk about a fucking character derail.

That's another thing that pisses me off. Why should Snape's death be romantic in the first place? Nothing about Severus Snape is romantic; not in life, and certainly not in death.

I always found it fitting that he died how he lived: alone and hated by everyone he ever knew.

He dies alone, betrayed by virtually everyone, which garners sympathy from readers who know his reasoning. But, sadly, the film also has to cater to people who don't understand the nuances of his back-story. So, he gets a stereotypical 'heroic sacrifice'; it doesn't bug me too much. A dead Snape is a dead Snape, what does it matter if he doesn't get eaten by a snake?

Maybe it was the place one of the flashbacks in the book took place? Like when Lily and Snape were arguing after he called her a mudblood?

Secondly, this kind of makes me wonder if Remus will die in the Shack, - because of his connection to it, and to use the set for some reason.

Snape's death in the shack would have been much better. He dies like he lived, in agony and hated by all. That fits his character very well.

Why on earth would anyone want to make it romantic????? Are they nuts....
