    Official Trailer.

I like pretty much everything about it. It has an unique setting and the character who is actually already someone with a lot of responsibilities, a king, instead of just learning about them.

I'm so excited for both this and the LEGO Movie I can't even put it into words. Favorite comic book character for thirteen years running.

The first reviews are out on twitter and apparently the movie is a sucess with critics ! From what I gathered everyone liked the visuals, plot, action and music, the story is also pretty self-contained and seems to focus on the lore of Black Panther. Everyone, and I mean everyone also loved Killmonger the villain of the film played by Michael B. Jordan to the point that he's considered one of the best antagonist Marvel has had in years. Got to admit the hype is getting to me lads.

I've thought Michael B. Jordan has been pretty wooden in the films I've seen him in so far, so the praise he's getting is surprising. He must turn in the performance of his career here.

Haha true ! But lately marvel did make an effort with their villains ( like the Vulture in Homecoming played by the fantastic Micheal Keaton) so hopefully the movie will deliver.

Its pretty good. Not one of my favorites, but a solid film.

Shuri, the sister seemed eh to me, I know people will love her, but yeah.

Great movie. Shuri, the king's sister, was completely awesome! There was a lot of heart put into this movie with people acting like actual people. It felt like it was real life instead of just scenes stacked atop each other. I enjoyed the film and recommend it.

    It was good !
    Minor spoilers :

I really loved how they presented Wakanda and its customs, and the set in general. Acting-wise, everyone from the cast really did a great job though I did think that T'Challa was more compelling in Civil War (in the writing department no diss to Chadwik Boseman). The villains were especially great Michael B Jordans as Killmonger was great though I wish he had more scenes dedicated to him. Andy Serkiss is such an underated actor he clearly loved playing Klaw.

And the music was fantastic : lots of african drumming that had me nodding along mixed with a few memorable classical scores repeated several times, seems like marvel has taken to hearts the criticism the movies received in that regard.

Now for the bad points : it's a classic Marvel origin story which means that the plot becomes fairly predictable in the 3rd act. Also the CGI in the end was bad to the point that it sometimes breaks the immersion from the movie.

Still overall a good first movie for the Black Panther, hopefully potentials sequels will flesh his world more.

I have to admit I was a bit disappointed by it, it wasn't exactly a bad movie but I expected something a bit more sophisticated.

We must be reading different reviews, because everything I'd seen before going in was praising it as the best and most important movie ever made. It was 'just' very good.

I'm not so sold on MBJ as some amazing villain. Get rid of his sociopathic tendencies and really make the audience think about who the real villain is imo.

Shuri was the best part of the film. She was just adorable.

The very overt political line taken made me cringe. It was a little too on the nose re borders and immigration for my liking.

Still, Wakanda was beautiful and I thoroughly enjoyed it. Regarding the post credits scene though, I'm just not buying Bucky yet. I don't care enough about him as a character yet to start geeking out at a post credits scene featuring him. I think he needs his own movie after they move on Cap for me to start caring tbh. Though I'm wondering if he'll get a sweet ass Vibranian arm from Shuri XD

Haven't seen it yet, but have heard there are some valuable lessons for the black American community and the pro-black movement in terms of "Radical Collectivity" and "Revolutionary Empathy."

Have I got this right? This is a pro-marxist, people's grassroots movie? Sounds like something very important that's going to set off a storm here in the US.

Kidding aside (not kidding about leftists I hang out with reading political meaning into literally everything), I'm sure I'll find this a pretty sweet popcorn movie. Better than the other Marvel stuff so far, anyway.

    @Gengar
Bucky is in the Infinity War trailer with a brand new metal arm, so I'd say that was precisely the point of that post-credits scene, given how spectcularly Tony obliterated the Hydra metalhand in Civil War
