This was a very enjoyable little oneshot of Harry being pushed to the brink and deciding to fight fire with fire. Overall I liked the brisk pacing of the story and the characterizations. Yes, there is Ginny involved, but except for the epilogue I don't find her annoying at all.

    4/5

P.S. It's only posted on TFF for now, so I copy and pasted Oz's login/pw for the site that he already posted in a previous thread. If Oz has an issue let me or an admin know and I'll take them down.

Eh... two years ago this would've been the epitome of high-class Dark!Harry, but not anymore. It's mediocre and cliche. Not worth the read. 2/5

Eh, I agree with veri. It's really not worth reading.

I argee with Veri a few year ago it would have been ok but now you should only read it if you have little else to do. 2.5/5,

As a rule, avoid reading anything with a title of Black/Dark Phoenix.

Trite, overblown, doesn't stand up to the premise. Ho noes, Harry decided to say "screw this" and go off to live his own life, so everyone lays the blame for their own failures at his feet, while he tamely accepts it. As is usual in these kinds of fics.

Meh. 2/5 for the author knowing proper grammar, syntax and spelling. Not much else to impress me.

    FFN link.

Saw this a couple days ago, was extremely bored at that moment so I finished the whole thing. Sometimes I actually felt like I was reading a superb Dark!Harry fic, despite the clichés. There are some pretty decent sequences here, but they fail to make up for much of the filler and the disappointing big Finale.

Worst of far too many cringe-worthy parts were a united international Magical Utopia declaring war on Britain, Techno-magic, the deal with Supernatural powers judging Harry, Harry/Ginny angle coming on way too fast, clichéd fake names, focus on angst compared with the length, over the top Super!Harry at the end, cheesy epilogue, ETC.

Would probably have given this one extra points for Guilty Pleasure Factor, if the ending hadn't been such a let-down.

2/5 for structure, writing style and blood bath.
