This just proves that Isshin has more power in his middle finger than most people have in total. Awed...

Now see, this is the battle we've been waiting to see. It's not gonna be some 'stall so I can blow up the whole damn area', or 'GOGOGO CHARGE!!!' No...now it's a good and proper throwdown.

 

Finally, finally Gin gets into the fray. Damn, was waiting for this for a long time. It'll be really good to see Gin go all out...and also, Gin needs to be defeated (or atleast show his bankai) before Hirako, Kyoraku, Ukitake and Yama will go Bankai (seems to be the way Kubo works; weaker fighters show their bankai first - Ichigo excepted, of course).

And Isshin looks like he'll give Aizen a run for his money. Unless he's subject to Kyouka Suigetsu, in which case he's simply redundant.

 

Middle Finger and Gin's Bankai? That is fucking awesome. The big three releases today were all damn awesome in their own right xD

 

Cool shit. Loved seeing Gin, and Isshin is the man.

And I really want to see Shunsui's bankai....And Aizen's too. How much more badass can you get than complete hypnosis?

Gin's Bankai was interesting, but overall the chapter seemed a little flat to me; not much happened beyond a bit of pre-battle banter and the bankai being revealed.

Ichigo is really a creepy kid.

 

Wait so THAT is his bankai? It's still cool because he can cause some serious mass destruction with that but I was hoping for something cooler still.

 

What was shown of Gin's bankai really disappointed me; it was kinda cool that it could extend for so long, but at the same time, what is the point? I can see it causing mass destruction to a large number of weak fighters, but against a single tough opponent it seems almost worthless. If Ichigo can block or dodge it then what can Gin do about it? If there's not some hidden aspect to this I'll be extremely let down.

 

We have no idea if that's all Gin's bankai can do.

But it looked to me like Ichigo stopped Gin's sword with his hand. I suppose that's what the stuff about his coat being part of his bankai meant? His bankai alters his entire body and not just his sword (apart from increasing reiatsu)?

 

Yep he definitely stopped Gin's sword with his coat sleeve. I'm expecting abilities out the wazoo, Kubo can' be happy with just a bigger version of the shikai.

 

13 KM!?

What I'm wondering is: Why exactly 13 kilometers? It just seems like such an arbitrary number.

 

If you look carefully Ichigo blocked with his sword. It's hard to see it because his sleeves are also black.

 

Page 18. In the distance shot his sword is vertical and looks like its blocking. At the close up to his face, however, his sleeve is clearly pressed up against Gin's blade. It could go either way tbh.

 

I bet it turns into a bunch of smaller swords that he can control.

So if it's 13km long, and Gin starts spinning around really fast, what's gonna happen? It seriously makes me wonder how you can fight with a longass sword like that outside of shooting it like a beam.

And woah, I didn't expect Ichigo to wound Gin that easily.

Could this really be very near the end of the manga?

 

I think it's more a case of Gin slacking off for the Winter War/escape from Soul Society while Ichigo got his ass kicked back and forth by a number of foes for the same period, so while Gin remained the same Ichigo got a fair amount closer to or surpassing his level.

 

But Gin can't be considered a slouch though. I mean, he was a captain and there has to be a reason for that. No, there's definitely more going on here than what was in this chapter. I'm just waiting for the other shoe to drop within the next two chapters.
