They had died so they went to Soul Society, it make sense that they will be closer to someone with spiritual power other than shinigami and Ganju hates them also, so they are buddies. Chapter has to much different things mentioned at once, but it has also standard, how Ichigo will protect his friends and things like that

 

My dream is that aizen will win and control that palace and the king since ichigo needs reassurance in his abilities every few seconds

 

Is Yamamoto coming back? (As in, with Bleach being what it is, what are the chances of him being super duper dead?)

Also, like, what happens when people die in Soul Society? I mean, they're already dead...do they just *poof* forever?

 

No, I'd say its safe to say that Yamamoto is truly dead as a Shinigami in this period. What's left of his soul should be on its way to be reincarnated in the human world.

 

I hope you're right and dead people like Yama and Ulqi stay dead...I have a very bad feeling though kubo might ressurect masaki I wouldn't put it past him

Finally, we start to get somewhere. But the reveal at the end? What the fuck?

I'm not seeing the resemblance. Looks more like Aizen's when he transcended.

 

Lmao they call Aizen the personification of all evil, but the quincies are "more evil". Meh Aizens methods might not be the best but he had good goals. Aizen should've just fucked up Soul Society and squad zero would appear... I have a feeling Aizen is a good guy and all this is going according to plan

 

How did Urohana get into Soul Palace to study that guys springs? Also, why aren't a version of those springs in SS as well, to, you know, heal the guys that actually fight regularly while those five OP ripoffs just sit there, playing with themselves in their stupid cities?

I never expected much from this Soul King stuff and he reminded me quite a bit at Shaman King and not in a good way. Meh, as disappointing as expected.

 

Nothing happens in this chapter anyway except we find out some deails about devision zero and surprise surprise byaku gets healed I DID NOT SEE THAT COMING. Can chapters contain some content that furthers the story? It's like reading Last of the Mohicans manga style: we don't need to see everything. Never mind even though Last of the Mihicans was shit at least there weren't as many plot holes

 

New chapter~

Best chapter in a while, imo. Mostly because of Shunsui. Although the thing with Unohana was weird - well, pretty much everybody expected that Unohana was secretly something like that, with her smile, but the way she was bashed by the hot springs guy a while back makes this a bit unexpected. I guess she tried to change, forgo combat and learn the healing arts, but her talent in healing never came close to her talent in killing.

I kinda like how realistic they're being. Out of all the Shinigami in the Gotei 13, Zaraki Kenpachi has the largest amount of spiritual power. If he can be actually taught to become an effective killer, his power would be off the charts. You can see that right now, he's a completely untrained and unpolished raw power. Scary~ Although that'd kill the character of Kenpachi we know.

All in all, I think it was an interesting chapter. Stuff in Soul Society is really grimdark right now, as shown by the eye art, heh.

 

Da faq did I read that right apparently the spirit king is in love with Ichigo.

Also now we finally know why Shunsui and Ukitake were scared of Unohana, although as Clerith said pretty much everyone ever thought she'd be some kind of reformed killing machine. Plus it makes sense wasn't it mentioned early on that Unohana was the oldest captain left besides Yamamoto.

Also liking Shunsui's appointment as the captain commander. I feel like Yamamoto was grooming him for the position.

 

T'was a fun chapter.

Shunsui appointed as Captain-Commander was obvious. He was the most suitable for the position and his actions during the Captain's meeting made it obvious. Him taking charge soon after was good to see.

Unohana was a mix of expected and unexpected. I wasn't expecting the title but I've been eagerly awaiting the "dangerous killer" thing for a while. Though I don't think what's going on with Zaraki will ruin his character since this seems like development more than anything; he's been nothing more than a diamond in the rough for too long and annoyingly inconsistent.

 

Unohana wasn't really suprise, she had after all 3rd stats among captains in the databook, and she wasn't far behind old captain commander and aizen who were both on the first place. Zaraki in the same databook was last, but had adnotation about not really being in ranking from obvious reasons. I also have seen it like spirit king is in love with ichigo, so we can expect new wave of slash in fanfictions.

 

Plot twist- the Sprit King is actually a woman lol. I liked this chapter, the 2 Shinigami taking there shirt off and showing how dangerous the hot spring is was :awesome

There's a remarkably strong resemblance to Toriko in this chapter and we learn what the requirement is for a shinigami to be a candidate for the Zero Squad. Which explains why Urahara had been to the King's realm.

I'm wary of the reveal on the last page since the 2nd movie and rebellion filler featured ideas about zanpakuto that I didn't like and I'd rather not see such ideas become canon. That said, this guy might just be involved with the creation of the Soukyoku and, if it works like I imagine it, the standard asauchi that are issued to the majority of Shinigami Academy students.
