I have to admit, it had some cool scenes. The talk of death was kinda odd since Shinigami are dead, that's kind of the point and did anybody else notice how the Quincy are more unnatural then the hollows?

 

Was nice to see a fight actually conclude in a semi-reasonable timescale, after how ridiculously long the last one went.

... Which probably means that next chapter, the Quincy will somehow come back to life, and spend four more months fighting Rukia.

 

As Nodt is probably going to use Vollstandig and break out.

 

Rukia needs to showcase a bankai. I think she is the only main shingami Ichigo's group who has not shown one.

 

I'm not a normally Rukia fan, but this chapter was pretty awesome and I have to admit that I like her new design and her powers. I'm actually pretty damn impressed with her, in this chapter.

Boring villain is boring. Rukia was bawse.

All that being said, where the fuck is Ichigo?

And of course Tite bitched out on killing off somebody important for real, even when we're so obviously close to the end of the series.

 

Called it. Which is kind of depressing.

 

Rule of cool factor though, Byakuya always has awesome fights when he's saving Rukia ;p

Overall it is somewhat of a letdown that he didn't actually die, but it was foreshadowed that he would survive pretty early on.

Rukia getting a power up and still being ineffectual kind of sucks :/

 

It wouldn't irritate me nearly as much if there was even a single indication as to how the fuck the Quincy survived that. This is Worfing at it's finest.
