I am just skimming the chapters, not really able to follow all that Yhwach nonsense. He has been ranting the whole time and honestly, it must take a lot of energy to be that unnecessarily creepy and petty.

 

Sheer inertia is what keeps me reading Bleach.

I'm expecting Isshin to be the next one to do something though.

 

I stopped for a while and came back when someone mentioned they were showing off more Bankais.

I have no idea how the Quincy, of all people, became the final villains. At this point I just want to see how it ends.

 

Are there any bankais left? I mean, someone got to have one that would be practically useless in every other circumstance but will probably specifically counter the threat right now.

 

Ukitake's, Aizen's, Shinji's, Love's and Isshin's.

I read a theory that Aizen's bankai may allow him to cast an illusion that affect person's perception of time. That would be practical against anyone, but especially against someone like Yhwach.

 

If you are talking about Arrancar(?-the Shinigami one) Shinji, then his bankai was that 'invert your senses' thing he revealed during the Aizen fight.

 

Dude's a Visored. And that was his shikai, Sakanade.

 

It's hardly out of the blue.

 

The while I'm referring to is the Aizen war. While there was some foreshadowing before then (Ishida's dad) they were generally referred to as "all dead."

 

Described as all dead in a manga that's literally about dead people and reincarnation. If the author wanted to bring them back, it would hardly be a stretch. Besides that, clearly more than a few of them survived, since the massacre was given as occurring centuries before and Uryuu and his father and grandfather are all Quincies.

They sure as hell have the motive, and Bleach has followed each race/class in its turn. Human, Shinigami, Hollow, Fullbringer, now Quincy.

 

Aizen went from one of my favorite villains to one of the worst ones after he transformed into a monster, completely lost his composure and started ranting like a lunatic. It's really sad to see the same thing happen with Yhwach, though I always considered him (and the whole Quincy arc) DB GT level nonsense.

 

There is no DB GT!

There is only DB Super!

 

I once hoped that the final arc would deal with Hell.

well. Supposedly this mess is ending in 4 chapters. Its been cancelled.

The 4 chapters thing is a rumor about the current vol being the last one. Not official, confirmed or anything. A Japanese volume pic was leaked, with something that translates into "the last volume" on it.

While I believe the current conflict the last one and Bleach being very close to the end, I have to wonder how they could wrap everything up in just 4 chapters.

 

It getting tiring waiting for an end to this thing. I wouldn't mind them ending it immediately if they just gave a summary of how it's supposed to end

 

This reminds me a lot of how Psyren ended.

1 - Ichigo's dad helps him recover.
2 - They ask Aizen for help.
3 - Everyone trains, a time-skip.
4 - They confront Yhwach and the last scene is Ichigo and co. facing him. End.
