Well I know approximately close to squat about the Bond series, but I have been paying some attention to all the hubub about Royale.

I saw some clips of the movie online and on Ebert & Roeper, and from what little I've seen it doesn't look half bad. A good point some of the critics have brought up is that this Daniel kid is the best actor to play the part, if not the best looking fellow in the world, and that he is closer to the Bond in the books than the ones in the movies had been previously.

 

The only thing I hated, was how he turned all pussy for the girl after acting like the typical Bond through the entire movie. He fell for her way too fast, and then acted like a punk over it.

The he goes right back to typical Bond attitude.. the small jump to their trip just didn't work for me.

The torture scene was fucking priceless though, I have his comment about balls as the ringtone for my boss.

 

true, that seen was absolutely hilarious. The whole movie was impressive, i read good reviews about criag and they ended up being true. Best Bond movie since connery.

I just watched it tonight...and it was awesome. Agreed with midknight about his attitude with the girl, but the rest was fantastic. And yeah, the balls comment was pure comedy gold. Snorted coke all over my shirt >_<

And the lack of gadgets didn't bother me at all...Daniel Craig was just so awesome. Eva Green was impressive, too, and so was the first girl (dunno her name).
