It is a hoax. The flash intro looks rather unprofessional and neither WB nor JKR would announce such a project by launching a website without any additional press campaign.

 

A lot of HP fan(girl)s are buying it though. They think the site looks very professional (LOL!).

If it is indeed a hoax, I can't wait to see the uproar and the general reaction of the fans. Should make for a good show. More lulz is always welcome, after all.

When I told my sister that Rowling has stated that Dumbledore is gay, she thought I was lying and wouldn't believe it until she saw a clip of Rowling saying it herself

So... somethings that Rowling has done or said, would have been better of being haoxes, this could have been another one.

Exactly. JKR has told people many times not to believe anything HP related unless it's coming from herself or her website.

 

Nah, we never found a video, but she did finally accept it after hearing it on the news constantly for an hour.

Having read books 6 and 7, it wouldn't surprise me if she does shit something else out, but I highly doubt this is it.

 

She'll write a prequel or a sequel just give it some time... i give it 10 years and 3 or 4 book flops before it happens though.

 

The Harry Potter franchise is too big to be left alone. I am sure she will come out after a while and several book failures with a new HP series.

She will probably say that the fans wanted it so much and blah blah, but she'll be doing it for the money. If she does not write anything that brings her anymore she needs to return to the source.

 

She could publish all of her backstory materials and make millions releasing it bit by bit.
